ooh ooh my turn for pictures
Thanks so much to (e:jenks) for the photo resizing advice! Here are a couple pictures from Kenmore and the way my street looks (as well as pretty much every other street I ran by today). I'm also putting some pics from the housewarming party on the 30th. p.s. Happy birthday (e:lilho) and I hope you're all having a good time at the mansion!

estrip techie question
(e:Paul) ...or anyone else who may know...since the pictures I take on my digital camera are too big to put into my journal, what is a quick way to make them smaller or more compact so that they are the correct size? The only way I've been doing it is taking a picture of the screen and cropping out the picture that I want.

Granted that doesn't take THAT long but I feel like there must be another way. Oh and I have a MacBook, if that helps. Thanks people.

The way I do it is... in iPhoto, pick the pix you want. Then say "export" under the...File, I think, menu. In the options that come up, you can restrict the size to 400 pixels wide. I just export them to the desktop. Then when writing your post, just upload the exported pix from your desktop. Hope that makes sense.

Days and nights like these make me want to always be within walking distance of my best friends...
jenks - 10/14/06 12:38
Yeah... I cried the whole way home after college graduation because I realized I'd probably never had that again. It sucks.

me too. It was so nice yesterday to be able to just walk to the store and my friends house. I guess that is a combination of luckiness of living near all my friends and being in the special little circle of power havers that is my part of Kenmore.

Roller Skates
Does anyone know where one would purchase adultsized roller skates for not a whole lot of money? I looked online today and the cheapest pair I saw was about $60. Considering we will probably wear these skates for one night (and they are doomed from the start because we will most likely get quite inebriated while wearing them)....I'd rather not spend a whole lot of money. So if anyone has any creative ideas....or any skates!!...NOT roller blades...let me know! Thanks :)

There is one store here in San Diego that sells old-school roller skates - for $200.
$60 doesn't sound so bad.

"Any skates?" you say? If you drink enough vodka, ice skates will work as good as roller skates.
