Poof!
I took the day off from work today. Wow! I so much stuff done it was incredible. No lines anywhere, just mostly middle aged women and kids all over the place.

After two hours of one-on-one training I am pretty sure my dog will now go to the end of the driveway and pick up the papers in the morning and bring them back to the door, provided the treat is already in my hand. I know he had it after the first try, the rest were just for the food. haha

Masiello
When are people going to start telling Masiello to just shut up. I am so tired of reading articles about the city that cite Masiello saying the same thing every time: "::insert proposal:: is going to revitalize the city. Today is a good day for Buffalo. ::people from inserted proposal:: are going to revitilitalize the downtown area bringing in ::insert ridiculous number:: of tourists. We ::people from inserted proposal:: want to that mayor Masiello and the good people of Erie county and the City of Buffalo for their support and recognition of this great project ::as they accept a retarded amount of cash we cannot afford to give them::."

I'm still really skeptical of the entire Bass Pro deal. Remember when Adelphia was going to revitalize the downtown area? Remember when is all we can say. Masiello is for every proposal and when it fizzels out, he's standing on the corner yelling "I told you so". C'mon. Bass Pro is building a larger "campus" in Pittsburgh, with a fraction of the public funds they got from Buffalo.

Buffalo News Article today--Jill Beck, a downtown resident and former president of the group Working for Downtown, was skeptical of the Bass Pro project until recently. The thought of an outdoor store attracting up to 5 million visitors a year seemed outlandish. But her skepticism turned to excitement after she joined a delegation on a trip last spring to the Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World store in a Toronto suburb.

"I got back on the bus and said, "Oh my God, they're not crazy after all.' "

Buffalo is not Toronto. They've already developed their waterfront and it has been able to sustain itself for a number of years.

I want to know where the plan is to develop our waterfront? We cannot just put a retail store in the Aud and then have people schlep through deserted streets and underpasses to what? that loading dock between the grain elevators and the storage space for the ice boom?

What ever became of public ridicule of terrible public officials? Tar and feather anyone?

I admit I am skeptical of Bass Pro also. But Buffalo needs something to at least start things coming here. I say Get a Casino and Bass Pro and hopefully those two things will bring more people from out of town. I have heard that often people who come to casinos only spend money there. But I don't think that is entirely true. My question is if there is own in toronto and you said Pitsburgh then why come to Buffalo Just for that. I think that is why we have to give Bass Pro So much money is in case there projections are wrong. I'm sick of how he talks he sounds god awfull. EDGEFEST 10 is today And I didn't go because it is at The Pier. No way to get there or to get home. If the waterfront was more devolped they wouldn't have gone out of buiness 3 or 4 times. Does anyone remember shooters? If you want a nice Waterfront you need to go to Toronto, Clevland or Tonawanda. I don't need a 10 year debate about what goes there just put something there.

UNIX
Anyone know of where I can learn UNIX or a good book to start with? I am familiar with the basic rudimentary commands and can get as fancy as tar and untar files to be emailed, but my skills stop there. Is it possible to publish on (e:strip) via a terminal window?

That stinks that he doesn't introduce you...I have often been accused of not introducing people and I will admit I am guilty of it...it honestly doesn't usually cross my mind which is so bad..it is one of the things I am most working on to improve because I know I hate it when I'm not introduced yet I rarely introduce others...not that they are people I am dating, just friends and stuff
