My naps are increasingly interrupted by talk of numbers of bedrooms and inclusion of utilities. All I can say is if we're moving, I'm yelling the whole way in the car, and at the end of it I'd better get my own personal lounging window.

(Stretch, yawn)

Flea bath!!

I don't know where it came from, but there is a magic red dot.
It squiggles and zips and I am compelled to chase it. I somehow think Mom is responsible for it. it is fascinating. Zeke is attached to it, too. Mom and That Guy, who I'm supposed to call Daddy now, laugh their asses off when we chase the magic red dot. I have to say that I am pleased with their recent efforts to turn on the bathroom faucet whenever I request it. Also, Mom finally stopped messing around with the screen door and leaves the back door open at night so we can sit and sniff the breeze. Very nice. Mom's cool this week.

I do love mom. Even though she's been obsessed with brushing me lately. She got treats, the tuna flavored ones. Plus she's been leaving the windows open more often. And lately she's been home long enough to play with me. And that pile of fresh catnip... aaaah.

Mom and that guy brought home a 50-lb bag of cat litter. Then they left it unattended in the livingroom. Suckers.

I showed mom that I was unhappy about her teasing us with the full new bag and not changing the boxes yet. She was surprised when she came home from work and there was a big hole in the bag and litter all over the carpet. I'll have to admit, we had a great time ripping the bag open and tossing the litter around.

Mom was pissed.
But then she left the open bag in the middle of the floor again after she cleaned up the mess and finally changed the litterboxes. Stupid humans. I gleefully shredded and tossed a bit more. But I thought better of it later... I think mom's sick, and it's not very nice to trick them when they're sick. I gave her a couple of extra purrs to make up for it.

Zeke, however, is oblivious. He knocked down one of her plants this morning. When she's really ticked off she just yells "Fucking cat!!" and I definitely heard that while I was trying to sun myself in the bathroom window.
