Last Friday, (e:paul) and I took a trip down to 18 Mile Creek. It wasn't as thawed as we thought it was going to be but it was still a good one.
I never had been down there so the fact that there are some hills so close to the city surprised me. The water and waterfalls might actually would have been nice if it wasn't clearly sewer overflow from melting snow ;(.
Luckily they're turning the headwaters into a new county park.
So foggy on the skyway down. You couldn't see anything. Glad I wasn't driving.
Shale scrambling!
The foxhole we found.
Deerhole we found.

Crazy weekendCategory: party
This weekend got pretty crazy. First thing on Friday, (e:paul) and I met up with (e:terry) at the Block Club party. It actually was pretty fun this time.
We ended up going with Mickey to meet Mike, Seth, (e:flacidness) and Brett at Nietschie's. Almost out the pink and had some beardy man try and make out with me.
The next day was international Donna Day - my mom's cousin. Since we don't celebrate her birthday somehow April 1st evolved into her prank celebration. We used to tp her house in the early morning.
After I rode back from that, I got to open a coconut for the first time. The water and flesh were freaking amazing.
We watched this movie called "Wolf Cop" which was so bad. There was werewolf penis and a lot of decapitation.
At night, (e:terry) and I visited this Squeaky Wheel party at Milkie's. UVB performed an AOL set with dial up tones and AOL trial CDs set up in the background.
We were going to go to a party on Ferry after that, but somehow got so caught up in talking we ended up at Casey's house. So we had a party in (e:yesthatcasey)'s room with (e:uchina) and (e:steve). Pretty good night.

Windows supportCategory: windows
I haven't been roped into Windows support in a while but the other day I went over to (e:paul)'s parents to troubleshoot their computer. I forgot how much I hate Windows.
Tony had a CD that had instructions on it to launch the programs via browsing files via the run dialog, circa Windows 95. But when he went into the run box, instead of hitting browse, he hit okay.
It turns out the last command entered in there was to launch the new user dialog. And somehow he managed to create a new account with the same name, overwriting his old profile
Luckily the old profile's data was still on the computer, and I just had to run a system restore back before.
Plus I got a cheese sandwich for my troubles.

901 Mannequins and solar on LinwoodCategory: work
These mannequins were in the lobby of 901. I really have no idea where in Roswell they ever would have been used?
After work we went on a quick bike ride around the neighborhood. I noticed this blue house down the street has panels already - guess we won't be the first. I really think they look cool - and for all the haters, you barely notice them from the street.
The Burchfield Penny Front Yard project is now down to a OS X error message and three copies of it's desktop background. Some artsy type should turn it into error based art based on the current setup - I think it would be way cooler.

I forgot all about those AOL cds. They used to litter the streets and I used to get so mad that Art Voice included them in their paper, I wonder how many tons of those CDS are out there?
