On Wednesday, (e:terry) and I made it out to Go Bike's Biketober fest at the new Flying Bison brewery in Larkinville. We met up with the usual bike people - I also got to talk to two of the bike and ped engineers for the city. Apparently they had heard about my winter biking and were really interested in hiring me.
Outside, the new Buffalo beer bike was out giving rides. It's a lot like the ones in Portland and Germany - a driver serves drinks to ten or so people who pedal and ride the bike. The max speed is only 5 mph but it's so freaking awesome. Sadly they were done giving rides by the time we saw it.

(e:terry) ordered his Chun-Li costume off party city's website. They thought this box was reasonable for a flat, unbreakable costume:

Tuesday was a super nice day and probably the last one for a while. So (e:Paul), (e:terry) and I cut out of work to fit in a bike ride. Fall color mode was full on.

(e:paul) and I got to see the garden again, this time with (e:terry) and with a lot more in bloom! The sustainable building was done too - it didn't have much function but the net-zero energy usage is freaking awesome.
Stop and sniff
My absolute favorite is the orchid room. So many amazing smells, especially this one which smelled like white chocolate.
