Take it easy. (e:Paul) and I rode to walk my dog, and then out to Williamsvile to get his MRI CD. He likes to go slow, I like to beat the traffic. We didn't average 20mph, lol.
Despite the fact we drove out in rush hour on Main Street in Williamsville, riding back on Kensington was way more stressful. The drivers coming in were way crazier, and honked and swerved a lot. We also made it through the nussbaumer designed clusterfuck at Kensington and Werhle. Good thing the road is wide enough for us to not get crushed. I hate cars.

Jarred tomatoesCategory: food
We got an amazing half bushel of tomatoes from the Clinton Bailey Farmers market. (e:terry) canned them and also made a delicious marinara sauce with them. With the linguini we had string beans, cheesy garlic bread, and salad.
So domestic.
The peels come off the tomatoes easily by boiling them quickly and placing them in ice water
Terry then jarred them
and put them in boiling water for 12 minutes. 14 jars of tomatoes!

And what's the recipe for the sauce. It's not fair to your readers when you say "Terry made this delicious superawesome thing" and then you leave it at that. I feel very cheated now. :P

I guess my question do you ever get through the last year's stockpile? What do you do with them?

Sweetness 7Category: food
I had only been to Sweetness 7 for the Park in at Parkside event, but we biked over for brunch on Sunday with (e:heidi) and (e:dianne).
The crepes were amazing. They had fresh lemon curd on them which was perfectly sweet. The breakfast sandwiches were great on the everything bagel too. The food took a while to come out because they forgot to put our order in - but we got a free cinnamon roll to make up for it. Awesome.

Ride to the outer harborCategory: bikes
Saturday I made (e:paul) and (e:terry) go on a bike ride. It was a perfect day for it. The only bad part was somehow I got a blister on my eye (bug maybe?).
Foto machen!
Someone ripped the flyers off this piece of wood to look like the great lakes
The little industry that's left - wonder what they're unloading
Times beach - I really hope there was an actual water bowl here at some point and they don't want the dogs to drink the gutter watter
Off of Wilkenson Point
Spinny sculptures
Sunsets on the lake - it keeps going down earlier :(
Climbing the boat hatch
(e:terry) joined me
Baby deer on the way home

So where is the picture? Of the blister? May I remind you that with every scenic post, magnified posts of grotesque things are almost mandatory here? Get with the program.

30 for 30 and curtain upCategory: art
Friday we headed down to Brian's 30 for 30 event for Squeaky Wheel. He video dj'ed for 30 hours, a world record (hopefully) in honor of Squeaky Wheel's 30th anniversary. (e:terry) volunteered - (e:paul) and I had to be there also from 12-4am.
Stinky the wino came too
Outside Curtain up was happening. I always thought it was an old people thing your parents did, but it actually seemed like an awesome street party. They had kettle corn, performers, a weird puppet show - I haven't seen that many people on Main Street since before the square moved.
The squeaky wheel event was at Cowork Buffalo on Main. They had these cute little bead buffaloes everywhere.
Terry and I went back for the end the next night. Brian made it without sleep. The videos he were playing got kind of creepy at the end (people on fire, screaming, mental patients etc).

The extra hundred thousandth of a foot can make or break a ride!
Joe, I just love the way your cycling computer gives you your altitude to FIVE decimal places ! How's that for German accuracy ?
