In the hole
A little construction gone wrong...

The truck fell in the hole.

Freezing!
Not only was the plane from Phoenix to Charlotte freezing, it also feels like they don't even hear the Charlotte airport. All these people walking around with t shirts on... And I have on two jackets and a good and scarf.

I am so happy I packed literally every warm clothing item I own for the next week. Anything below 80 is like winter for me. Maybe PayPal has an office somewhere in the tropics....

And another random food diary
2 cups honey but Cheerios

3/4 almond milk

1 banana

3 mints

3 ricola cough drops

None of it stayed down. Being sick is pissing me off because it interrupts my whole daily routine. I couldn't even go to the gym or for a walk... I could barely manage to pack and shower. Here's hoping to ok travel... I want to just sleep the whole way.

Feel better :(

Help!
I suddenly became sick last night out of nowhere and I literally slept for 16 hrs... I have to do so much cleaning and packing and I have zero energy.

Plus the fact that I really don't want to be sick on a plane as (e:Paul) and I have discussed. I guess I'm gonna have to drink liquids only today and not eat. Probably should skip the gym too. Hopefully it's just a 24 hr bug that will disappear by 1230 tonight when I fly out!

Being a brat
When I think about what a brat I can be sometimes... When things don't go my way or someone lets me down... I'm disappointed in myself.

I really have such an amazing life and family and friends.

Reading about and seeing the destruction and devastation from the typhoon in the Philippines, puts it all into perspective. These people have no homes, and the streets are filled with bodies, and fragments of buildings which were their homes. I can't imagine that kind of loss. My heart really goes out to them, it's humbling to see people survive such tragedy.

I am so happy I am able to come home to Blo again and see my babies and my brother and my sister in law... And of course my friends. I'm gonna hug errybody real tight! Partially also because its cold there and I'm a tropical baby now. :) It's still in the mid 80s here and it's so nice to go for a walk in shorts and a t everyday.

Interestingly, many attribute the deplorable response of the Pakistani government to that particular cyclone to the creation of Bangladesh.

But then, one might argue, when has any Pakistani govt. ever done any good?
tinypliny - 11/12/13 11:22
In the 1970s, Bangladesh (or formerly "East Pakistan") lost 500k people to a cyclone. :::link::: Death tolls from natural disasters frequently cross 100k in low lying South Eash Asian countries.

Sadly, its the circle of life.

It's good to have perspective. I read your post and remembered almost every one of the few problems I have is minor, especially compared to things like the typhoon. We really are so lucky!
paul - 11/11/13 15:21
At least you recognize it lol. Its hard for me to get worked up about natural disasters elsewhere. I mean when you think about it there are natural disasters happening everywhere all the time. If I stressed out about each one I'd go crazy. Sometimes, I think all of this interconnectedness just gives the world more anxiety. That being said, I still feel really bad for them and hope I never have to experience it first hand.
