I still love this song to shreds.
How can I trust you with your human nature
With all the dues that you don't want to pay
Between polarities of good and evil
You make decisions, trying to find your way
I'm coming back to you
Don't worry - I'll be coming over you
Don't you play this game of treason
It will all come back to you
So you better tell me no lies
You cannot fool me 'cause I know it better
I've seen it all, I've watched them come and go
I'm gonna be for you a painful lesson
I will fulfill for you the karmic law
I'm coming back to you
Don't worry - I'll be coming over you
Don't you play this game of treason
It will all come back to you
So you better tell me no lies
We will meet again next season
Then it will come back to you
So you better tell me no lies
I'm coming back to you
Don't worry - I'll be coming over you
Don't you play this game of treason
It will all come back to you
So you better tell me no lies
We will meet again next season
Then I'm coming over you
So you better tell me no lies
Don't you ever tell me no lies

Her voice is so beautiful it sends chills down my spine.
Deliver us!
Probably my most favourite song from that fantastic movie. I can't remember any other movie that has such a pitch perfect soundtrack... well, except The Incredible Hulk (but it was all instrumental).
And seriously, she owns Led Zep with this cover.

The skeleton of a "For loop"
I realized how much I depend on RStudio for learning R as I go along. I looked for a similar IDE for Perl, but none seems to be that elegant, awesome and well-thought out. I am trying Padre for now, but I find myself constantly comparing it with RStudio and I am not impressed.
PS: Totally unrelated but I hate the new Gmail look. I need to remember to download Stylish for Chrome the minute they make the new look permanent

The DST Sunday breakfast.Category: eating in
I improvised on one of my Mum's recipes to come up with a tribute to the sorely needed extra hour.
The steamed lentil and millet sunlight dumpling!
1 part green moong dal
1 part millets
1 part urad dal
Soaked 3-6 hours
Blended to a coarse grind
Seasoned with olive oil with mustard seeds, dried red chillies, jalapeños, red peppers, curry leaves. Salt to taste
Fermented overnight.
Steamed in the morning.
Garnished with carrots and coriander leaves, tossed in lemon juice. Red onions would have been awesome but I forgot about them.
Tada!
PS: Could have been infinitely better with a coconut and coriander and caramelized onion chutney. But I only have so much time to spare. The ratios are a keeper, though.

Gift of an hourCategory: buffalo
I LOVE it. It's only
7:07 AM
instead of an hour later.
Whoever invented the ridiculous daylight savings time policy probably mused...
Well, DST masochist, thank you for today. But know that I have hated you a lot since March.

Oh you know what, I will make them suffer for the major part of the year and then make them feel a little bit better on a single day before the wretched winter sets in.
Well, DST masochist, thank you for today. But know that I have hated you a lot since March.

The Thing is you don't gain an hour... The only way you gain an hour is if you have a clock that has an alarm and sets its self back. You still sleep just as long and then when you wake up you are up it isn't like you really get that extra hour. In fact someplaces it makes you lose an hour... Say you work the night shift or what ever like some bars will do this at 2am they turn it back an hour and then they get to stay open another hour yeah you would get paid for it but you are just up later....

His name is Benny Franklin...and I, too, am basking in the boon of the recaptured hour.
It makes you think, though. The gov't. is so gangster that they can tell you what time it is, even if the rest of the world is different.

Sounds good to me....
Holy S#!t.
I adore those lyrics. Soooo topical for my life situation right now..."i will fulfill for you the karmic law.."
Jinkies! :)
