Cute tortoise needs new home
Category: pets
Its time to let the new tortoise go. He is healthy and eating but Basra the much bigger tortoise just keeps beating the crap out of him. This morning he was on his back and and basra was repeatedly was ramming his shell into a cinderblock at full force. Then when he tires of beating him up he tries to have sex with him. Its just not a good existence. Not sure what to do because we have to find someone with enough space.

To bad you are getting rid of him.... Is there maybe a way to get a bigger Badder one would put in on Basra? I know nothing about this animal but I'm guessing it is like instinct and up raising the guy gets the entire back yard and does what he wants and until the other guy stands up and fights back it will all ways be this way... But the pet shop guy could tell you more then I.... Maybe a girl one that is really a girl would change this... Of course this poor thing that didn't eat enough and ate wood chips I see why it doesn't stand up.... Maybe with this animal you have to have them both from the same start point... This same thing sometimes goes on with cats and sometimes they get along....

How does this species survive in the wild? They are not very sociable, are they?
tinypliny - 09/23/11 22:03
That is just awful. Basra is a spoilt bully.

Hulu, abc, fox, etc
Category: television
So I watch more TV now that I have no friends and get home late from work M-TH. I used to like the way hulu had the shows on the night after they aired. Sames with Abc, Fox, etc but it seems that now all of the content providers have switched to airing the episodes the following week unless you buy hulu plus or have cable. For example, the raising hope that aired last night will be available wed sept 28th unless you pay $7.99/month for hulu plus or sign up for cable which is surely like $50+ a month.

I really don't get why Time Warner doesn't consider us a valuable enough customers to let us watch he shows online that are normally on the free over the air channels. Its not like we don't already pay them $120/month for our internet. I mean I don't expect to see HBO, etc but at least the shows on fox, abc, etc. What is the difference if I watch it as cable or over the internet over a cable wire. They are getting paid either way and I am subjected to advertisements that they profit from.

The whole thing makes me so aggravated. I probably just need to learn to be patient.

Here is the thing if you have a box... Time Warner has two things indemand and look back... ok and start over makes 3... But the problem is look back isn't on all the stations.... Now I think both Fox and ABC in the past you could watch on line at their websites but for me ABC all ways the video and audio didn't line up.... Now I have seen ads and not sure how it works and what stations it is but I have seen that Time Warner does have an app where you can watch stuff on your phone or tablet... But I don't know if it has to be live or if there is a way to do it in the past... Now some shows go into the ondemand more quickly then others. Think it has something to do with what channel it is.... They have another station called Primetime In demand and that has some stations as well that aren't covered by their own station in demand.... I think NBC you can watch on there site cause I used to watch Heroes wow that was a great show or maybe I just wanted to do the cheerleader ok it was pretty sweet I think.... Not sure if it is ever coming back......

Old Cars
Category: transportation
Sometimes I wish I lived in a era when America had giant metal cars that guzzled gas at $0.75/ gallon and that I didn't know there was anything wrong with that.

Sky High Adventure Park
Category: exercise
It was really a lot more scary than I thought but it was fun. Kind of expensive at $45/person but it was fully entertaining.
