My Shoe Collection
Category: shoes
Here they all are. Each pair has a different purpose except for the near duplicate brown leather low top ones.

Trip To Ikea
Category: shopping
(e:libertad), (e:terry), (e:mike) and I went to IKEA on Saturday. I like the stainless steal microwave but the best part was the sweedish meatballs with currant sauce and elderflower juice. I am not sure I would ever buy any of their furniture, its really not my style.

Borders Closes - The end of an era
Category: books
Borders was probably the single most contributing factor to my credit card debt in the late 1990s - early 2000s. I spent hundreds if not thousands of dollars on computer programming books. Then in 2004 I remember shopping one day with my brand new smartphone, a sidekick. I wanted to buy Make Magazine but I decided to try looking up the price online and it was way cheaper. I ordered the magazine right there from my phone. It remember because it was the first time I ever bought something online and I was real sketched out about entering my credit card number in. Shortly thereafter I bought all of my computer books on amazon. Now border is out of business. I guess it all makes sense. Now I shop from my phone all the time.

I will miss the experience of going to the bookstore (e:paul,32098)

Its so funny to see genres broken down by different percentages off. If you want magazine you should go now, they are going quick but they are 50% off.

I think two things Really Hurt them.......
1. Amazon.com thing with amazon was that you could buy books and CDs and movies all in one spot online.... At one point if they didn't have one in your state you didn't have to pay tax on any of it..... But then Amazon started selling down loads and audio books and then kindles and if you get a kindle why pay for a book from Boarders when you have the kindle?

2. The other thing that I think killed them is that the library was less laid back.... yeah you could read like it was a starbucks but when you are supposed to be selling books not having people hang out like on the couches at spot how do you make any money.......

I still can't figure out what that book was. Seriously I have never seen a book that didn't have a TOC, a preface, an index or even the briefest of introduction. It just started from nowhere and ended in nowhere and didn't look like it was missing pages. Or maybe it was fashioned after one of those super elite restaurants that only have a single alphabet (or sometimes not even that), unlabeled " exclusive" store facades etc.

I put on my shoes and I'm ready for the weekend
Category: shoes
I bought three pairs of shoes for WEMF. A pair of breathable walking shoes, new sandals, and a replacement pair for my WEMF 2008 shoes which are failing apart on the inside. I know its crazy but who knows when this will ever happen again.

I was having the hardest time deciding between size 12 and 13 but at the last minute I looked on Google which said to go big for exercise because your feet swell with exertion.

The best part was that the sandals I almost paid $110 for last week were on clearance for $49. (e:tinypliny) and I actually closed down the mall. To get back to the car we had to travel down some employee hallway which tiny said was murder central.

I feel so fat now that I am medium instead of extra small.

This picture of tiny is so nuts because we were moving so fast.

I gave (e:yesthatcasey) the yellow shoes because I ended up being allergic to the latex. The mesh shows were awesome but got wore out. The sandals are still rockin.
uncutsaniflush - 08/12/11 22:00
Professionally, I tend to see these hallways when I do inventories at malls and I arrive or leave "afterhours". Some are better than others. None of them scare me. I think, statistically (not that I know anyone that is interested in statistics), if memory serves, these hallways are safer than being at home.
tinypliny - 08/11/11 12:11
That corridor was freaky. I couldn't believe it was part of the mall. All shiny outside, all murky inside. Ugh. That photo is freaking me out. I am going to avoid looking at this post!

Weirdest Foods
Category: food
From this week. The tinyest chicken legs at India Gate. Try and tell me they are not pidgeons.

The thinest NY strip steak I have ever seen.

And the fattiest chocolate. Check out those callories and fat.
