The worst day everCategory: vacation
So instead of going on vacation we get a letter from the insurance company that they are going to cancel our insurance on the fucking nightmare rental property unless we paint the porch and patch the concrete.
I kept holding out because I thought I would have sold it by now. After scraping the wood its rotten because there was a wet rug sitting on it. The concrete pretty much had no option but crumble off and start over.
That house has been a money pit for me. If I could start over I would have just not lived in Buffalo when it came I to my life so that this moment would not happen.

Dinner for Mary's Birthday Last NightCategory: food
Figured Joe's crab shack would be packed last night as it was grand opening so we went to red lobster instead. Their food always looks nice and tastes good, I just wish it was less salty.

It was made for folks like me but who eat seafood?

One upping lobster mac and cheeseCategory: food
Believe it or not I don't line lobster Mac and cheese. Maybe I was just always missing the bacon? Sadly, I didn't get a chance to try it on my way back as I was already too stuffed.

My friend Julie will be opening at the Crab Shack. She has to dance and stuff, tip well.

I don't do the Lobster thing so I skipped it also.... There was some other thing that looked great down around the circle but as I read what it was it mentioned coleslaw on top...What a great way to ruin nice meat..... I assume the fullness means you had a great time....

They certainly have gluten-free macaroni at the coop and at Guercios.

I've never had lobster mac n cheese. I wonder if I can find a gluten free recipe? I've always wanted to try it. Speaking of lobster, have you heard anything about the new crab place on Maple Rd, Joe's Crab Shack? They have a full gluten free menu. It just opened today.

Weekend at brushwoodCategory: brushwood
We accidentally all went a weekend early to brushwood for Sirius rising. Luckily, (e:hodown) stayed because the event is next weekend and she would have missed her plane.
It was still fun to hang out and camp. We also got to swim a bit, although in a chlorinated pool. In the evening casey and I almost cooked ourselves to death in the hot tub because it was so cold walking back to camp wet that we didn't want to get out.

Man, I thought those chairs were uncomfortable for me. I can't imagine being as tall as (e:keithT) and trying to nap in one. It would kill my neck.

I am going to try and cut out of work early this week and use up some vacation time to attend a couple days of the festival and the fire this weekend.
I guess going a week early is better than going a week late.
One of the coolest parts was a vertical campfire in a hollow tree log with holes allowing viewing inside. I would have taken a picture but I no phone with me.
The overall best moment was dancing to the music of the drum circle barefoot by the campfire. The worst moment was trying to do a roundoff off of bench and missing my target.
I feel like this shrine/trash mound/artwork we found really sums it up.

This corn thing is too crazy

She did not go, by stayed I meant stayed in buffalo.

Their routine annual inspection. I think the idea is that because it is a rental property the crumbling concrete causes little pebbles on the stairs which can cause people to slip.
how did the insurance carrier notice the condition of the porch
Just something to Ponder I honestly don't think Buffalo is a big enough city to try this ...... Move into the rental place and make that the home.... Still near downtown and not to far from work a bit of a trek and keep the place up.... Since you would have all the floors you could have the entire up and down.... Then Rent out the fancy place to High Class (money) for events and again high Society Parties..... (NYC might work but here not enough people...Or even make it a bread and breakfast)....
I think the real thing is that you need to find someone who is good tenants and whom you can confirm are good tenants.... No idea how much you charge for rent but maybe upping it a bit would insure you get non problems?
Sounds awful. Do you have to complete this by a certain date?
