GraduationCategory: school
I graduate May 21. I signed up for senior pictures, paid for the cap & gown rental, and don't expect to have any trouble with classes this semester that would prevent me from graduating. However, I'm scared about that weekend. Jill & Kelly really want to be here and have started putting plans in place to make it possible, but I'm estimating that the likelihood of their actual attendance is about 45 percent. (Six kids, right?) I've asked Uncle Dudley to be here, and gave her a list of nearby hotels, but I'm not feeling too confident that she and her boyfriend will make it. A would come, of course, but I'm trying to not fall back in our old relationship and haven't asked him. So... I'm going to be really sad if I do all this to mark a major accomplishment and no one comes, reinforcing the constant theme of my relationships: don't trust, don't expect.

HedgehogCategory: pets
I met a hedgehog today. It was cooler than the chocolate lab, mastiff, and drug dog.
tinypliny - 02/17/11 23:52
What on earth is drug dog?! Like a drug mule but of the canine variety? Why would you put that in the comparable pet-list to the hedgehog? Is it used as a drug-mule too? How close is it to say, a hamster or a rat as a pet?

lol, totally missed that. I have a top and vest like that and I roll up my buttoned sleeves all the time to show off my stick-like-forearms.

I almost picked that top. One of us would to have gone home to change, or someone would've been cocktailed!! ;)

BeerCategory: home
I'm at a nascar-themed neighborhood bar in corning, ny and the options are limited: busch, molson canadian, mic light, coors light on tap, bud, yuengling, and guiness in the cooler. Yuengling is shockingly sweet compared to my usual ipas.

The glass museum is well worth the trip. :::link:::
The other major attraction is Market Street, a quaint Victorian-era street of shops, restaurants and bars (Market Street Brewing Co.). The Rockwell Museum of [American] Western Art is just off Market. :::link::: Corning is close enough to Watkins Glen and/or Ithaca to make a wonderful weekend out of it. They both have amazing gorges and trails. :::link::: Ithaca has Ithaca Beer Co.
Corning also only about 45 minutes from home, and 50 minutes from Wellsboro where the Pine Creek Gorge is.
I was there because A had a gig at the East End Pub (pix soon). It wan't Nascar-themed in an intentional or interior-designer way, it was just the stuff the bar had collected most of. Yuengling Lager is my default mainstream beer because it's so accessible in PA like Blue is here.

I always wanted to go to corning for the glass museum, but what else is there to do? Why are you in corning.

I know some people who are fans of it "Oldest Brewery in the US" or something like that... On the side of a beer truck once it looked like they had about 8 different kinds. I admit I have never been to a Nascar themed bar.... Wait that might not be true I saw one in an Airport and can't remember what it was called think it was a chain and like officially tied in or at least allowed by NASCAR but I don't remember if I went in..
