Airport Security Check?
Okay not really ;)

Oh, and on my way through security at BNI, no one checked my ID. Not at the entrance, not at the gate. I got to Maryland and asked Michelle's mom, who works for the Dep't of Homeland Security, if this was normal. She was shocked. So she's going to have a good story at work tomorrow. "My houseguest flew out of BNI Thursday and didn't get asked for ID at any point. Oh, yeah, she's white."

I was a little flustered getting to the airport this afternoon and forgot to take a minute and change to a non-underwire bra. (kinda stupid i should have to worry about which bra i wear.) My cute, sexy underwire set of the metal detectors in the old-style security and i got rerouted to the pornoscanner. Twice. I think I should have just flashed them. fuck the tsa.

Good thing I wasn't wearing a pad. :::link:::

Red Finger Lime
Category: food
Has anyone eaten one? I want to try one so bad but I can't find anyone talking about having them outside of australia. I found an awesome picture of one at

It seems like a something like the lime version of a blood orange but the seeds are in pockets. The fact that they paired it with an oyster makes me want it even more.

The biggest crab legs ever
Category: food
The real question is not how to cook them but how (e:matthew) and I are going to manage eating them. I have a feeling there might end up being some crab soup.

To give it some perspective, that is a twelve quart pot and 3 lbs of crab.

That was the thawing pot. I steamed hem afterwards and they came out perfect.

I usualy get King Crab legs for the holidays. What we usually do is thaw them out in the fridge for a day or so and eat them cold. Another way is to throw them in the microwave if you want them hot. The issue with cooking them in a pot is that you may overcook them and make them like rubber.

I wonder what they fed this crab... Crab growth hormones?
