I used to have a belly button
Category: body
Now it lives under a matt of hair that is getting remarkably curly.

I swear there is a belly button in there somewhere.

Thankfully, it has not reached my back yet.

Installer complete
Category: computer
This is the complete dialogue I got installing adobe flash 10.1 on mac 10.6. Really? They didn't have it move to 100% on complete. Things like this drive me crazy.

Restaurant On Forrest and Elmwood
Despite the sign, I would say it is not really ideal seeing everything there closes.

I had no idea, not that I drive but even if I did I would have no idea how to find it. Honestly the last time I was in there was when it was the Soda Bar
paul - 06/22/10 19:06
I think the old Elmwood Soda shop location fails because no on realizes there is a parking lot in the rear and zooms by to the next restaurant with parking. They should put up a sign about that.

In this country many things that are good are ruined by greed. Hello look at NYS everyone knows that we are in trouble but the ellected officals all the way down no one will give up anything because they are greedy. This happens is so many places and leads to so many stupid strikes. Now if this guy was smart he would have kept the rent what it was and he would still be making money now, instead of letting the place just sit empty. I think that is a tricky spot to have a place, I wonder what would really be a good fit?

Platohs was doing okay until the landlord priced him out. Too many folks believing the All american village crap and raise prices to where the market can't support them. I went to Platohs after they moved and the owner said it was rent that booted him to kenmore

No doubt. Kind of like the building where the new mediterranean restaurant you mentioned exists. Some places in the hood just seem like black holes for business.

Fiddleheads on Allen for Lunch
Fiddleheads on Allen has lunch now. Maybe they always did but I don't remember seeing it before.

(e:enknot) and I checked it out. Ihad the fig, bluecheese and candied onion pizza which I think (e:tinypliny) might enjoy. It was freaking delicious despite sounding weird.
(e:enknot) had duck satay, also delicious.

Okay, I broke my eating out ban because I couldn't resist it. The pizza is OUT OF THIS WORLD. LOVED IT!! Thanks SO much for the tip!
paul - 06/23/10 02:03
No I went at 12:30, just wrote about it the next day. (e:matthew), i am not sure if there was anything you could eat besides a salad.
tinypliny - 06/22/10 12:23
So are they switching to the eccentric 11-3 time that is so popular on that street?
heidi - 06/22/10 11:56
It's a recent change from dinner to breakfast-lunch only. Yeah, I'm jealous, too.
tinypliny - 06/22/10 11:49
That does sound like something I might really like! (How on earth did you know?!)

AND you went to lunch at 10:30? That's like Rochester time. They have supper at 4:00.
matthew - 06/22/10 11:14
What? You went to Fiddleheads without me?

textual harassment
Category: web
This totally sounds like something (e:mike) would make up.

It is all part of what is increasingly called "textual harassment," a growing aspect of dating violence at a time when cellphones and unlimited texting plans are ubiquitous among the young. It can be insidious, because messages pop up at the sender's will: Where r u? Who r u with? Why didn't u answer me?
