I can get up to 3GB per month. I think it is because I listen to a lot of streaming radio and because my phone can multitask letting me leave the music on while I do other things.
(e:matthew) uses about 1.5GB.
(e:terry) on the other hand uses almost nothing. So far this month he has used 105MB.
As for text messages, he uses the most.I can't believe how many text messages he uses and it is only the 18th.
I don't text at all... I find it to be cumbersome. But then, I don't really call anyone either and around 5 people have my phone number.
I wonder if video chat will pick up with all these new video phones. I doubt it because it seems like people always favor the low bandwidth, low commitment, no preparation, plenty of time for thinking over a response style communication that comes with textmessaging. I mean you never have to comb your hair or put on clothes for text messaging.
I mean its the same with regular online chatting. There has been widespread, universal video chat capabilities for about 10 years via aim, yahoo, skype, msn, etc and I barely use it.
Just changed my plan - less talk, more text. :-)
I'm glad you posted this - it reminded me to check my usage. I'm currently on a 500 txt/mo plan (verizon-to-verizon is free) but since school ended I've been texting constantly and now am at 87% of my allowance for this month and still have five days left. My number 1 texter: (e:TERRY)! @34% of total. Phone usage: 99 min out of 900. <sigh>
