Oysters with the oyster knife

This time I bought the oyster knife which is slightly blunt and
curved. It seems the keys is to grind and jam it in and then just
twist. Make sure the flat part is up top otherwise you lose all the
juice.

They didn't have the gloves and (e:matthew) and I both got puncture
wounds on our hands. It's almost like it's part if the adventure, I
mean when else does food hurt you.

The word oyster is used as a common name for a number of distinct groups of bivalve molluscs which live in marine or brackish habitats. The valves are highly calcified. Some kinds of oyster are commonly consumed by humans, cooked or raw. Other kinds, such as pearl oysters, are not. True oysters are members of the family Ostreidae. This family includes the edible oysters, which mainly belong to the genera Ostrea, Crassostrea, Ostreola and Saccostrea. Examples include the Belon oyster, eastern oyster, Olympia oyster, Pacific oyster, Sydney rock oyster and the Wellfleet oyster. True oysters are incapable of making gem quality pearls, although illustrations or photographs sometimes mistakenly pair them with a gem-quality pearl.

Ugli fruit continued

It's almost the end of the season and I am obssessed with ugli fruit
so I bought 4 of them. It seems that both green and yellow are
equally ripe and tasty. In fact the inside is so much prettier than
the outside. The smell of the inside of the rind is so good. I hear
thru make candy out of it.

James - king of the mountain
Category: hiking
I snapped these pics of (e:james) at Little Rock City. Picture one looks better but I was to upclose so I got on the ground to take the second one. This rock was like 30 ft in the air on top of another much larger rock which is not so obvious in the pic.
