I got these sony circumaural ones: :::link:::

Which headphones did you get? (I am still looking for good ones. I returned the ridiculously painful Sennheisers.)

Kinesis: :::link:::

I love it. I bought one for home and one for work. They are very expensive, but less expensive than not being able to work due to joint damage.

As a bonus, I now know how to touch type every symbol on the keyboard, since you don't have to move/contort your fingers much, it's easy to reach them.

The modifier keys (command, alt, etc) plus backspace & delete are all in the middle, along with the space bar and enter key -- that way your pinkies aren't over-worked.

APC40
Category: music
So this is my first attempt at assembling a song using the APC40 with Ableton Live. I sampled the sounds in the song, or used existing small loops and applied filters, so the actual instrumental/melody/beats are definitely not mine.

The bits laid out look like this:

That's really neat!! keep playing with it!!!
tinypliny - 08/09/09 16:24
I call dibs on the few exclusive all-access pass complimentary tickets to your début concert at the arena! :D
jim - 08/09/09 15:39
And I've been using Ableton Live for about a month now, maybe 20 hours total? The APC40 controller is new though - this is the first song w/ the controller but I did make a couple others with Ableton before this.

Next, now that I have Ableton down, is to use Reason and a keyboard to create some of the elements instead of relying on existing source material.
jim - 08/09/09 15:37
It'd be more impressive if all the components were from scratch, maybe ^_^
tinypliny - 08/09/09 15:35
o_0 first attempt? Are you like the Bach of electrorave? ;-)

That sounds a bit like LaRoux. :D
