GI JOE and Saturday Plans
Category: movies
I went to see GI JOE today. I thought it was pretty good. Is it the Cartoon? NO. But it can't be it is different Media. Was there a story line? Yes. After all it is called "The Rise Of Cobra". I'm guessing they have the idea to do a bunch more or well at least a couple more if it does well, and it should. Was there Hot babes? Of course a couple but that isn't really what GI JOE is about but it is nice to have something nice to look at. Was there a lot of action and exploding? Yes. Where there some Fighting? yes and I thought that was very good to, there is one scene where I thought oh wow this looks like it should be in Star Wars but it was still a very good scene. But the most important question is did it all gel together? I think it did gel pretty well and had a good balance of story that makes sense mixed in with lots of action I think it was very good. So I'll give say two thumbs up not sure how many stars but if that is your kind of movie you should like it.

Today Bruce Smith and Mr. Wilson Join the NFL hall of fame. Or is it the football Hall of Fame? Yes I have heard it called both but there is a difference in theory since it is the Football Hall of fame someone from the Arena League or CFL could maybe make it in. But that isn't the point I set out to make. I will get to watch about a half hour of it, I think and then it is off to a stag party over on Clinton I can be early or a bit late, since I don't have a ticket yet I'll have to be early. It should be a good time. It is to bad I have to miss the Bills hall of fame stuff, hoping it will be replayed at some time so I can see more then just the highlights. Hey Maybe it will be on at the stag it is hard to know. Then I guess on Sunday I'll watch the Game and Catch up On True Blood, and the other Sunday night shows on HBO.

The Hamster movie is G-Force. What I went to see was GI JOE. Last night I did have a good time at the Stag Party. I should have spent more money and time with the strippers, the all tan one with the perfect (looked pretty real) tits and pussy I could have taken home, not really but I would have loved to dark black hair and gorgeous, um wow. Plus I tried green label Jack Daniels it was pretty good.
tinypliny - 08/09/09 11:54
Is this the same as the hamster movie - or is that different?

Question?
I admit I don't ask for advice on here very often. The Previous post remind me of something. I know there are a few (e:peeps) like (e:Chico) and (e:Vincent) who know how to dress pretty nice. I'm wondering if anyone has any advice of a place to get a nice suit? If it is in the city it would be a big help. I wonder is there any place like around elmwood, well I know of one place but don't know if they are any good. I don't know what I'm really looking for. I don't want to look like a business guy. I love some of those Gangster style suits but would it look right on me and would it really work for a wedding. Then you have the other kinda more Casual looking suits you see in like Asian Gangster movies. But then again I don't want it to look like a costume and as much as I like the bright suits with the matching color shoes I don't want to look like a pimp either. It might also help if I knew how much money I was willing to spend. Any advice or any pointers would be a plus.

My dad is the suit connoisseur. Lately he has been going up to Smokin' Joe's. The men's department salepersons are really great and very accomodating. I know it is not nearby like Elmwood, but I really would recommend it. There is tailor on the premises and she works with the clients and you will have a great suit that will make you look like a million and you only have to spend a couple hundred (depending on your taste and style). They have great prices! I even looked for a picture of my dad from this year's events, but could not find one that would give you the full view of the suit, they were more candid shots with family. Hope that helps! Is this for the wedding?
metalpeter - 08/09/09 13:22
Thanks for the advice I have seen ads for M Wyle that might be the best place to start not sure really but at least with the advice I have a starting point.
vincent - 08/09/09 12:31
I usually would buy a suit @ Joseph A Banks. But you want to find a place that will work with you and kind of has something within a budget. Syms is a good place if you can weed through the stuff you don't want, but if you're looking for someplace local I would suggest M Wyle on Elmwood by the Regal and if you can get out there the Riverside Men's Shop no long in Riverside although it was on Niagara St back years ago but now it's on Sheridan Dr.
metalpeter - 08/07/09 19:33
First of all thanks for the Advice. It would help if I knew what I wanted really. I do have some dress clothes I could wear but I'm thinking a suit might be nice and then I could wear it for other things as well. I may have an old suit some where with pieces all over the place but not sure if that even fits. Again if anyone else has any advice or ideas let me know.
tinypliny - 08/06/09 22:32
All my formal dresses are back home. :/ I am somewhat worried. I mean I could definitely even defend wearing stressed out jeans but a wedding... hmmm.
mrmike - 08/06/09 21:10
Get Dressed on Elmwood near Lexington has good suits at decent prices
heidi - 08/06/09 20:37
For a good, proper business suit, I'm guessing Syms at Sheridan & Transit is the best option by quality/price, prolly $200. It sounds like that's not what you're looking for...

For something stylish, cool or funky, which I think you can totally get away with at a wedding if you feel comfortable in it, there's a shop on Allen at Pearl by that kinda nasty corner store. They had really sweet linen Cuban pants & shirt sets recently in light blue, white or black with same-color embroidery. That kind of dressy, but not quite a suit, outfit can be a lot cheaper ($50-$100 with accessories) and might be reusable in a way that a suit might not be.

Good luck!

AC/DC
Category: music

So October looks like it is going to be busy. For some of you, there was a post you may have read about how it was a weird summer and there where things I was looking forward to. Well after that post I found out about AC/DC coming. It is one of those where I think every ticket costs the same type deal. The reason I'm going is that I have never seen them before, and I have no idea when I would get to see them again. I have a pretty good seat. The two odd things is that is a Sunday Show and that the tickets for the seat I got you have to get at Will Call so that might get interesting. I have to get merch and I wonder if they make shirts for 1 year old girls I hope so. Hopefully I'll Have a new Camera by then and they are allowed.
metalpeter - 08/07/09 19:29
Well You can still watch it on Youtube. AC/DC is Here at the HSBC Arena on Sunday Oct. 18. If anyone buys tickets you are best to buy them at the Arena and save money on the internet fees or if you can't make there at say tops. The ticket price is $89.50 But then on the Chart it says $92.
tinypliny - 08/06/09 22:38
Damn, that's video's been disabled.
tinypliny - 08/06/09 22:36
Hold on. AC/DC are coming to BUFFALO? You have got to be fibbing! WHEN? WHERE? How much are the tickets?

Less then a week
Category: nfl
Yes there is still a Month to go, but Football Starts in Less then a week. The Bills Play in the Hall Of Fame Game. It is the first time I remember them playing in it, does anyone know if this is their first one. I still Have to look up the times and see when the game and Inductions are. I'm going to a Bachelor Party on that Saturday so I hope there is no conflict. I also have to ad that I have all ways been a Madden Fan. I don't care that he Hates the bills and Loves Farve. He doesn't really hate the bills but when he did only NFC games he Never saw them. Bret was a great QB and has had great Perseverance playing in Greenbay is what football is about to some. Besides How bad can Madden be he is a former Raider. That is another reason I liked him. Plus his football games are pretty good. What I can say for sure is him leaving broadcasting will shake up who calls what and we shall see how things wind up. I know lots of people can't get into Preseason Games but the one Next week is one to get into. Well at least until Everyone gets pulled. Well maybe since it is The Hall Of Fame Game maybe they keep all the starters in since it is a special game?
metalpeter - 08/04/09 19:59
Thanks for the information guys. The One in 74 I can see why I didn't know about that one, but the Redskins one, not sure if I missed it or just forgot about it, again thanks.
vincent - 08/03/09 21:43

Stressed lately
I'm not really sure why but been stressed out lately. I think some of it is that there will be some work changes and I kinda wish we would get to them and then I learn and try to figure things out. But then there is that other being alone factor. Do I like being alone yes, well kinda yes. It just seems that recently people have had kids, getting married and going to get married. Am I happy for them yes. but it also seems like life is passing me by or something. Then there is facebook. Yes I like facebook but it is weird to see people from high school with kids and stuff. I'm not saying I want Kids. Then it is also true that it seems like a lot of people I went to school with have interesting or meaning full jobs , own a club, parents own shops and that kind of thing. I don't know oh yeah then there are camera issues and now I need a new one. Then like thursday I was all pumped to watch X games and passed out on it. Argh not really sure what I need. Well maybe I a Suicide Girl or Kat Von D to have drug ridding sex with. Yeah that might work, I don't know. Maybe I need to blare some heavy music of some kind. I don't know really what is going on. Well maybe some of this writing helped we shall see got some more picture stuff to do.
metalpeter - 08/01/09 18:55
(e:Lauren) That is a really good comment. Kids for me right now, no way I have enough trouble taking care of myself.

(e:Tinypliny) that is a great point also.

I just wanted to add that I don't know if everything is stress alone. Some of it is like a heavyness feeling that I have no idea how to explain. Then there is that kinda down feeling. But not like I don't want to do anything or maybe it is some kind of emotional tiredness I don't know how to explain it.

I feel better right now but I wasn't do so good at price rite. I went to get food and I'm looking at these frozen pizza bite things and am thinking that I need to get these so I'll have something for lunch and then start to remember how getting them just right in the microwave is tough. But I can't spend money on going out to lunch everyday, ARGGGG. But Got home and watched some X games and felt better.

Not sure what I'm going through really but I'm guessing after this weekend I'll be stressed again. I think part of it has to do the fact that I was kinda crushing on someone or how ever you say that but then those feelings what ever they are went away (well mostly they are gone).

It also doesn't help (had a good time) that I went to a weeding reception for someone who is having a kid and there where all kinds of couples there.

It also doesn't help that I'm fucked up. I do need to mention that there is a weeding that I'm really looking forward to going to and I wish those two people all the best, and I don't think that factors into how stressed or what ever I've been going through lately . Then next weekend I'm going to a bachelor Party for a weeding I'm not invited to and that should be fun (don't think I can stay for all of).

Did I mention I don't know what to do about my camera. Maybe I'll make up my mind this weekend. I'm hoping the stressed out ness doesn't come back but I'm guessing the being down or what ever it is will, but let hope not.
tinypliny - 08/01/09 15:24
Don't worry. I think the alone stress is a lot more manageable that having relationship stress - which is worse because you are constantly afraid of treading on people's toes etc. If you are out today shout out a hi and I will holler back! :D
lauren - 08/01/09 15:16
I have that feeling too...a large majority of the people i knew from highschool are married or have kids or both and im like..uh, did i miss the boat? course, the thought of having kids right now scares the bejesus out of me...so i secretly hope that when they see my facebook they are going... damn, maybe i should have waited.. :)
