This was a very good game. I love beating the Cowboys, and am already looking forward to dismantling the Ravens next week.
Also, I am proud to be a big part of "football" showing up in the tag could on the front page of estrip.org.

10 Things I like about the economyCategory: 10 things
Just for the record. I don't like what is happening. People I know and like are losing their jobs. This is an exercise for me in trying to find the bright side.
1. People are growing in their empathy. For many of us, people in poverty are no longer "them," they are "us."
2. Gas prices have come down.
3. This will get us to do things differently.
4. We will have learned that ridiculous debt is ridiculous.
5. People should end up happier. Statistically, people are more likely to be happy when they have less disposable income (as long as basic needs are met).
6. What goes down, should come up? Maybe? Right?
7. (e:vincent)'s cogent analysis.
8. I expect to be able to find some used skis super cheap.
9. The best things in life are still free.
10. My grandparents prepared me well for living in a depression.

10 Things I like about Xmas decoratingCategory: 10 things
This might be easy for some of you, but I am doing it because I have to remind myself.
1. Spending time with people I like.
2. Snacking while I work.
3. The moment when you turn off the overhead lights and look at the glow.
4. Trying to take low-light pictures of the tree.
5. The smell of a fresh tree.
6. It only comes once a year.
7. Happy memories.
8. The celebratory cold one at the end.
9. The fact that other people do a lot of the work.
10. This year, the churches decorations DO NOT include a live tree--which makes my life a lot easier.

I <3 this post Drew. One of my favorite things is my church all Christmas-y. They don't do this anymore but when I was younger they would get one GIANT tree for the sanctuary that must have been 15-20 feet high. They would use just white lights and white doves and it was gorgeous. Now they get three smaller trees which is nice, but not quite the same. And on Christmas Eve we do the candle lighting ceremony where the entire congregation gets a candle and they shut off all the lights except on the trees...silent night...holy night. you know the drill i'm sure. i love it.

Cleaning up a live tree can be a real pain in the ass. It depends on how the needles are. Some trees lose a few and some they go everywhere and you track them in when you bring the tree in and the same thing as on the way out. But some trees don't really lose there needles. There are options for people who don't want to kill a tree to get a tree that can be replanted after Christmas.

No live tree? To me the one thing I love most is the smell of the fresh pine tree. I've never had to actually clean up after one though, rumor has it they are a major pain in the ass..

@heidi: if they are real football fans, they will be thrilled that they feature the best team.
@tiny: no. Because they are from the city that has produced much of the world's steel (properly pronounced, "still"
Why are they called the "Stillers" anyway? Because they are STILL around despite being like a 1000 years old?
wouldn't folks clicking on "football" in the tag cloud be disappointed by all the stillers posts?
:-)
