One Week!

I am one week into quitting smoking cold turkey. Going pretty well.

Also, I have an unrelated cold. Is summer over already? Huddled in a hoodie, sniffling, dark at midday, looks like it to me.

Yay!! Your cold may not be so unrelated to quitting. I find when I follow up with people at the Quitline they do seem to get colds a lot. I really think that your immune system may go down for a very brief period after quitting because you are fighting so hard not to smoke along with the stress of withdrawal (physical and emotional). No need to worry though because again it is very temporary and your immune system will be much stronger now and you will be less likely to get colds and other illnesses in the future. All that being said it does seem like maybe something might be going around. All of this damp coldness can't be helping!

I think it is a combination of being afraid of being beat up and being embarrassed. They are all pretty lame but someone I still read them all, lol.
