And some Holly Hocks - we got japanese beattle traps that saved them this year.
But not as cute as squiddy.
He wants to go in the house so bad.
metalpeter - 07/15/08 18:43 Well here is the thing be careful what you let the little guy do if you let him inside he will think it is his place to go inside and will want to go back in again. it is to bad that there isn't some way to like a little room in the basement for him where he can do in and out and he can't get to any other place and only he and no other animals could get in. On a side note other then for Tony's Party where the bands played down there, that was pretty cool by the way is the basement really used for anything?
tinypliny - 07/14/08 23:40 Yikes, its actually purple. Nevermind. I have been playing with the gamma-correction of my monitors and have seriously impaired colour-perception today.
tinypliny - 07/14/08 23:38 I don't think I have ever seen that wonderful blue flower in the first picture. It's almost like multiple flowers are growing out of a central one. And the blue is almost the blue of forget-me-nots. Will Matthew be posting the forget-me-nots?

Damn someone had a bad day Category: buffalo
I noticed this new hypodermic needle jammed through the window in one
of the buildings Kalaeda is buying near main and north. Having it
occupied should really clean up that section of town.
Here is the building that got stabbed.
tinypliny - 07/14/08 23:34 Can a needle really have that much impact. I wonder how much force was concentrated in that one moment of pure irrational hatred...
mike - 07/14/08 23:13 i hate when my needle gets stuck in a window. It ruins my whole day!
tinypliny - 07/14/08 21:14 What a crazy photo! Cool.

Paul's grilled chicken legs Category: food
I made these last night and they were so freakin tasty. Marinate in
olive oil , garlic and thyme. Then turn half the grill on. Cook on
non fire filled side for 20-30 minutes with the grill closed. Then
move to fireside for final 5-10 minutes. Yum!
Some more tasty protein yummies. I love tuna.
tinypliny - 07/14/08 21:16 If you start up a restaurant, could I be the snotty waitress seeing as Mike's soap opera/skit is nowhere near take-off!
jon - 07/14/08 14:04 Why I don't like cats... :::link:::
dragonlady7 - 07/14/08 11:17 There are a lot of allergic people who keep cats and survive. My team captain's boyfriend is severely asthmatic and allergic, and she has come up with all kind of coping mechanisms. Her cats are both long-haired cats, and one of them, she just shaves every few months, the poor thing. She also vacuums religiously and they got rid of all their carpeting and have leather couches because cat hair doesn't stick to leather. But they have a much smaller house so there are fewer places for poor allergic Walt to retreat.
Most important is KEEP THE THING OUT OF YOUR BEDROOM. You need a cat-free space to retreat to. Be really strict about this, even to the point of not keeping dirty laundry in there that might have cat hair on it.
I mean, that's only if he's coming inside at all-- but really, restricting what rooms of the house he can go into is a really good idea if he ever comes inside. Keep doors shut and so on.
A good-quality HEPA air filter in the cat-free space will also help. I know these assholes fired me, but their HEPA filters are for serious-- www.austinair.com -- and they're good for chemical sensitivities too. If you're interested in one I'll give you my old sales manager's contact info-- he's still a nice dude and could cut you a deal.
www.allergybuyersclub.com is a good website with various allergy coping mechanisms-- faithfully brushing the cat (preferably outdoors) to keep shedding and dander to a minimum, but they also sell like these baby-wipe-like things that you can wipe the cat down with now and then to get dander off it so it doesn't become airborne.
Does your kitty have a name? He looks a lot like Chita so I am automatically a sucker for him and want you guys to totally keep him. The more proactive you are about keeping him from annoying you, the longer you can keep him without, you know, dying. So really I'm being selfish in telling you all this, but also I don't want you to die.
hodown - 07/14/08 10:42 I can not believe you have left me alone in the cat haters club. thanks paul, thanks a lot.
tinypliny - 07/14/08 09:56 I had the Gamma values set to zero all these days!! Oh foolish me. No wonder all my monitors were so dark and my work monitor was too light! Aaargh.
Yes, that is my lap and yes that is my cat. Well, temporarily my cat
- squiddy.
drew - 07/13/08 20:50 Ya know what? You might as well be resigned to the fact that you have an outdoor cat! Put some food out. Have a non-allergic person take him to the vet. Christen him Squiddy. All is good.
---Janelle, not Drew.
tinypliny - 07/13/08 19:30 OOOOOHhh.. Can I meet Squiddy?
metalpeter - 07/13/08 19:30 I know you are allergic so you won't agree with me but that is ok. Now that the cat is on your lap he is your for good. Not sure if he like you because you feed him, but he is now attached to you. I think that you letting him be on your lap when you are allergic means the same thing. I'm not saying he will be a house cat. But I think the 3 of you will take care of him and let him stay out side and when winter comes maybe he will even go on the porch out front. Of course I could be wrong but I just get the feeling that you 4 are getting attached.
Well here is the thing be careful what you let the little guy do if you let him inside he will think it is his place to go inside and will want to go back in again. it is to bad that there isn't some way to like a little room in the basement for him where he can do in and out and he can't get to any other place and only he and no other animals could get in.
