View from the windowCategory: pictures
This is our view from the bathroom. Usually when I look at it, I think, they really need to paint their house before the clapboard starts rotting. But in the winter time it has this old rustic farmhouse look to it that I like.
This was the view from our window this morning. I rarely watch the weather, so unless I hear weather murmuring from other people, snow like this is a pleasant surprise.
This is the view of a window from our bedroom door. One day, we plan on having a stained glass window. In the summer I'll have a beautiful stained glass view and in the winter I already have a winter wonderland view, I'm never going to want to leave bed.

Christmas is comingCategory: holidays
I'm such a little kid...I'm so excited to be off from work soon for the Christmas holiday...I can hardly stand it. It's only 10:15am and it feels like the day is dragging on FOREVER.... It is the never ending work day full of bad Christmas music and minory annoyances. It's standing in between me and family, fun, presents, Christmas celebrations...I have work I COULD, in theory, be doing, but I can only think about 4:30pm...at which point the work ends and the fun begins.

Incompetence AboundsCategory: work
So a person comes to work with the plan to check e-mail and voicemail from the previous work day and shoot off to a morning meeting in Hamburg. Voicemail, e-mail and estrip checked, the person gets up and starts leaving the building to drive to the meeting. The person runs into their supervisor who lives in Hamburg. "Hm", the person says, "Mr. Supervisor, why did you drive here to work only to turn around to go back to the meeting in Hamburg". Mr. Supervisor pulled a face that said, Meeting? What meeting? That face was quickly folllowed by a face of dawning realization. Then Mr. Supervisor finally said, "<ahem, clear throat> The meeting was cancelled....oh, no, I need to call everyone else to make sure they know".
Is it just in social services where these things happen? Would people at the prestigious Roswell schedule meetings then capriciously cancel them without telling anyone? I mean, am I complaining about something that happens everywhere....I guess scheduling and canceling meetings is just a pet peeve of mine I like to rant about it.

well, you don't get to be supervisor with mere mediocre incompetence. No, you must demonstrate extraordinary incompetence.

More to life than money and careersCategory: sims
I have everything you could want in a Sims life. My husband makes high-end gnomes for sale. I'm purusing a career in modeling. We have every toy in the Sims toybook...but I just can't help like feeling that there's more to this life...
In these days and times, Sims are so disconnected from one another. They need to get back to their communal roots and rediscover the religious Sim life in commune with one another. So I present to the SIMS world, my Sims religious compound....
The building on the far left is the children's barrack.
In the middle front building on the bottom is the recreation room.
The middle back building is the cafeteria.
The building on the far right is the barrack for my faithful adherents!
Who wants to move in?
On top of the front middle building is my special apartment that I share with the husband. Can't be a cult leader without some swanky digs, right?

A compound isn't truly compound until there's more than one wife and a minimum of three underage concumbines.

My family hasn't quite settled in yet. We have to do that first before we can recruit adherents.

I hate to say this but I think that the best thing for this country would be an economic depression, a la 1930's style. This country has gotten way too fat and stupid for its own good. We have gotten to the point where we have made it economically prohibitive to be frugal. Want to put money away in the bank? You'll get taxed on the interest and you will never compensate for inflation. So you will lose money in the long run.
Want to splurge? Take out a home equity and write it off on your taxes. Consume, Consume, Consume, Borrow, Borrow, Borrow. If you spend more than you can afford, don't worry the government will bail you out. You're 23 making 30,000 a year and want to buy a $800,000 house? No problem, GW will come up with a plan to save your house. After all we have to keep housing prices up and not let those suckers that have saved for years to put down a downpayment. Saving is BAD, Spendiing is GOOD. That's how we keep this country well oiled, and in debt.

That article is too tame.
It should say things like.
"These people are rediculous. Why would you borrow money for a hottub? Why would you buy a 12 year old an expensive phone at all, never mind the fact that you don't have the money. What they need to do is stop borrowing, and get really familiar with the salvation army. Apparently they thought that buying all kids of stuff would make them cool, but it obviously didn't work."

That one picture with the snow on the tree where it kinda looks like ice looks really cool. I don't know if you took it that way on purpose but with the church Steeple right between them is a neat look. I don't know what your and and (e:drew)'s plans are but if you come to the party tonight don't be shy about taking pictures, assuming you want to. Nice pictures by the way.
Funny there are many days that leaving bed seems like a questionable notion
