BeowulfCategory: movies
So today I went to the first showing of Beowulf. Lets get to the important stuff first the nudity. Both Beowulf and just blanked on Aglenia Jolie's role. The good and the bad news for some and the other way for others is that: Beowulf is naked but there are no dick shots. They do like how they did in Austin Powers (but not in jest) where they had someone head or elbow blocking the shot. The fighting scenes move to fast for you to see anything as he flips but I'm guessing it was shot so that when it comes out on dvd you wouldn't be able to see anything either. Now Angelina on the other hand wow her boobs look good they are really amazing. I'm not used to seeing that ones that good unless I'm watching a movie at home by myself. Yes some of them where kinda covered in gold but they are amazing and they did have front shots. Now to the rest of the movie not that I can concentrate on it anymore. I like that there was a lot of action and still a very good story. I don't know how they do the art of it. I know that the actors at least act all the stuff out and do the motions. I don't know if they film them and then put the art over them or draw them out. However they do it it look very realistic and there is a lot of depth in all the scenes. I can't imagine how cool it would look in 3D or on and IMAX screen. The other thing I'm not sure of is if things where filmed the same for both versions or if things are added to the 3D film version or if it was filmed so with glasses the film is enhanced. In any event I really enjoyed it and had a great time.

City Hall Medical CampusCategory: photos
So when I saw this picture on the art voice I picked Up it reminded me of (e:ladycroft) and then it also reminded me of a couple (e:strip) parties very quickly. For some of you newer peeps you might not really have an idea why but there will be things for some of you a little further down in this post.
So today I went to the DMV to renew my non drivers ID and after that I went to city hall and Froze. The reason I froze was that I went up to the observation deck and I think my hand went numb. These are not all the pictures I took. I"m not sure how they will look on here and how much detail the small building will have but here goes.

So as I'm on my way to "the medical Campus" area I got to have a fun time about 20 feet from Hyatt's. Out of no where someone calls to me. They ask me "If I'm all right" i say "i'm good" if you don't know the lingo he was asking if I want drugs. But then is where I lost the guy on lingo. He said something about him being a "Pill Popper" I don't remember what I said exactly but then he followed that up with "I'm not a pill popper either". Again very strange. Well here are some pictures from around that area (again not in exact order)
Afterwards I thought about going to the Anchor bar but didn't feel like it. One of these pictures is to show a church and a certain house some of you should know. I didn't know that stuff that grows on houses turned color I thought it was allways green I guess I was wrong.
Hopefully everyone has a great weekend. With the holidays and lots of things coming up this might be the last crazy weekend so everyone should enjoy it. Hopefully I will see Baowolf on sat. I do have a question in High School we read a story of the same name. All I remember is that it was written in really old and really hard to understand old english and only our teacher understood what was going on, is there any connection between that story and this movie? oh yeah and the graphics look amazing also.

In terms of Beowulf I saw on Regal's movie site that it is the same guy from the Epic Poem. But what I'm sorry about is that it is rated PG-13. First of all they should have made sure that it was R. I think house is a great show. The characther developmant and how they interact with each other is amazing. I liked how it used to be that how they interact would cause a conversation and that would clue house in how to fix the patient, it is really a mystery series hiding as a medical show. For those who don't watch it there is no way to explain boston legal. I think what really makes the show work is how Denny and Alan work off each other, it really is a great show.

Weekend Movies Potpurri SabresCategory: photos
This weekend I saw 3 good movies 2 of them had some strange sexual dynamics in them. I had all ready seen "Curse of the Golden Flower" at the movies but I watched in on starz in demand yesterday. It was still just as good. But I do have to admit with the bright colors and all the high action you do lose a lot of that to the TV. Maybe if I had a huge HD or plasma then maybe you wouldn't lose of the dramatic look. I like that there is a lot of fighting and not that Disney ending. I also watched "The Dreamers" . Yes it does take some time for the sex to get into the movie but the sex is a little bit out there but it kinda eludes to something that isn't there. It takes place in France in the late 60's and (stuff I have never heard about) some place and the movies being shut down all in all a good Indiie Movie. I know I'm way behind but I just saw the Departed on HBO this weekend. I thought it was very good.
Sabres wise they have made more "Winter Classic" Seats available. You can also buy "official" merchandise now. I could spend about $500. (e:drew) may agree or disagree with me on this since I'm not sure if you are a Hockey Fan or not but I want that Blue Crosby Jersey and I think $200 is a lot but it isn't as much as I thought it would be. I haven't seen the tie up Sabres Jersey's yet all they have is Vanek and if I get a sabres one it has to be Miller.

Just to update a bit. That Place looks like it is open but not sure. I sure hope the Sabres do start winning more games. I have a few theories as to why they aren't. Max (won't attempt his last name) has a lot of great moves but if you play the puck not him he is stopable. The Money, both Roy and Vanek's paychecks went up a lot. Well when you get all that money they do that cause certain results are expected. You now have to play up to your level of pay. Imagine if you where working your job and Your Bosses Boss walked up and said I'm going to double your pay. First thought is awesome, second thought no thank you I'm happy with what I do now. If you where underpaid before than that is an exception. But now with that pay you would be expected to do a lot more and have a lot more resposnsiblity. Along with that comes a lot of pressure. On top of that pressure is that fact that the two guys who where a lot better then you and got all the attention are gone. So you are now the go to guy. That is a lot of pressure. Add to the fact that there may be other players on the team who are just as good if not better but aren't paid as much. For those guys it can be tough cause they think they are being screwed. Yeah I could be over analyzing but it is just a thought. I will admit I'm a big Miller fan. But I wonder if the death of his cousin is having a factor on his play or his leadership. He had his name on the back of his goalie mask and I'm sure that alone helped him pick up his game and play hungery and maybe he has lost some of that. I'm not making an excuse but it would make sense. I think the Sabres will get better and I look forward to seeing "The winter classic". I still have to decide if I want to get A Blue Penguins Jersey. I wonder if by the next sabres game I go to In about a week if they will have Sabres ones at the sabres store.

Halloween and various stuffCategory: potpourri
On Sunday the Simpsons had the ofical end of Halloween with their tree house of horror show. They did a take of On e.t. with an evil alien from the show, Mr. and Mrs. Smith (very cool), and Hell House. I have never seen Hell House they called it Heck House hey Flanders can't swear so here are some shots I got from the episode.

I admit that I do like cats but they are very strange animals in some ways. For example they don't like water and running water they hate but yet they will go in tubs, sinks, or bassins but the water comes on and they take off. That being said please don't ever kiss a cat you don't know where they have been. As an example not only dogs do this.
My mother and sister are at the mall I can't get into Christmas shopping yet so here are some pictures that kinda show the fall.
I know that taking Black and white pictures and just using the setting to change them on your camera isn't the same but here are some Buffalo pictures in B&W
I guess my final thought is that I'm glad Miami Ink is back on starting to night and in the line up they also have an episode of LA ink worked in. But why is that that it seems that on TV there is either nothing I want to watch or a bunch of shows in conflict Tuesday is good for that, thankfully they repeat some of them.

To be honest I have no idea what makes something an epic poem. from what I read I guess the guy who did the movie didn't understand Beowulf when he read it either. But that when he got the script he loved this story. Hey not that I have any idea what those poems are about or any of them why not tap into them for movies, hollywood sometimes needs to go another way and not just follow all the same formulas.
I can't wait for other epic poems to be made into movies.
Like the Mabnagadon or the Kalevalla... which was turned into a terrible, terrible movie. There wasn't a single exposed breast in it!
I think they are showing a 3d version at one of the movie stations here. I'm really looking forward to seeing it!
