just thought i'd update
Category: life
I'll have to print out (e:joshua)'s latest posts about the political candidates. It looks interesting. I don't know much about many of the candidates that are running. Which is kind of lame, considering the primary is coming up not too long from now.

I'm doing okay. I've been back in Jimmytown for awhile now. It's been nice being able to spend more time with my family and friends here, though, I wish I still had an opportunity to do all the fun stuff going on in Buffalo. I miss everyone there a lot. I hope to stay up there with some friends for awhile sometime over the summer for a couple of days.

(e:lilho), (e:ladycroft), (e:anne), (e:mk), (e:tinypliny), and (e:fellyconnelly)- I hope your moves are going well.

I applied to a bunch of places for jobs, but nothing has come through yet. I've been busy with other stuff that I've been behind on, though. Haven't felt well lately. I've been trying PT and accupuncture, though- and they have seemed to help a little bit.

There's things that made me feel down, but I feel hopeful that everything will turn out okay. You probably better not quote me on that, though.

Have a great day, everyone.

finding religion
Category: religion
It seems as though there a lot of posts on theology and Paris Hilton lately on estrip. I found an article that combines both:

(e:fellyconnelly)- I did see the MTV awards. That was pretty funny. Especially when all the audience started clapping:).

(e:jenks)- i completely agree with you.

(e:carolinian)- I heard she got sent back to jail...
carolinian - 06/07/07 17:55
Such much for those racy homemade women-in-prison videos I was looking forward to downloading....
jenks - 06/07/07 17:45
you mean paris, who is now out of jail? I'm sorry, I mean has been "reassigned" to carry out her sentence IN HER MANSION, for "medical reasons" because a therapist deemed it "emotionally stressful" for her?

Hello people- jail is supposed to be unpleasant. It's called PUNISHMENT. It's not supposed to be a fucking 5 star hotel. You're supposed to NOT LIKE IT there, and hopefully change your life in order to not have to go back.

stupid fucking celebrities. Ugh.
fellyconnelly - 06/07/07 12:14
did you all see the MTV music awards? they totally ripped paris apart! it was hilarious and she looked VERY pissed!

Wow, that's a sad story but 350,000,000 cards. That is an unrealistic goal. His parents or someone should have tried for something ore realistic. He says 11 days left with 125,000 cards. I wish him luck with both the cards and his health.

changes

I am graduating today. I technically graduate from the master's program in August, but I walk the stage tomorrow. I wasn't really going to do the ceremony (since I already did that when I got my bachelor's in 05); but I think it was important to my parents that I do it.
Congratulations to (e:libertad)! He's graduating from Buff State also, but I think he's at a different ceremony.

I'm moving out today... which makes things kind of hectic for most of the day. I don't really want to leave Buffalo this summer, but I need to save the money I would be spending on rent here for Albany in the fall (I don't have to pay my parent's rent for the summer). Housing in Albany appears to be quite a bit more expensive than it is in Buffalo. I'm sure something will work out, though. Hopefully, I can find a job this summer in Jamestown.

I'm feeling bummed about leaving Buffalo. I know I will be back here during summer to take care of school stuff; and I'll probably be staying with Kristi (my best friend) fairly often. It's just hard to go.

I hope all of you (e:peeps) are having a good weekend.

dragonlady7 - 05/18/07 00:07
I admit I haven't been following your journal very long but I am interested to see you're moving to Albany-- I grew up in Troy. So I'm from that area.
Housing's more expensive in Albany than in Buffalo???

I suppose that's good to know. I've never, of course, tried to rent in that area, as my parents still live there and I only visit for short periods of time...

it doesn't seem so bad...

"When we hold each other, in the darkness, it doesn't make the darkness go away. The bad things are still out there. The nightmares still walking. When we hold each other we feel not safe, but better.'It's all right' we whisper, 'I'm here, I love you.' and we lie: 'I'll never leave you.' For just a moment or two the darkness doesn't seem so bad." Neil Gaiman

I really do either need to read Sandman or accept my fate as a cultural illiterate. I don't know the context, but cool quote anyhow.
