So I finally had a day off and since it was a nice day and I wanted to enjoy it. I wanted to gamble a bit but at the same time having a desire to be outside I settled on going to the track.
Here are a bunch of pics that I took when I wasn't studying the Daily Racing Form to find a winner or two.
Random Horses
Now I have to throw in a Food Pic. This is a favourite Canadian pastime of mine, Cut Fries with Malt Vinnegar.
Then there is the racing aspect of which if there wasn't this to begin with the whole point of being here would just about be moot for the vast majority of people.
Pics of the jocks & paddock area
Where the money goes. I had the #5 horse and wish I had listened to my gut instinct and boxed the 5 and 6 together for the Exacta (a bet picking the 1st and 2nd horses in order) The 6 horse was owned and trained by an excellent trainer. Andre Cappicetti.
Look at what the Superfecta paid for a $1 wager. The superfecta is picking the first 4 horses in correct order, 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th. You could have even had 1/5 on a $0.20 cent bet!!!
I was happy to make some money on the 5 horse
SO afterwards I ended up heading back home and at the last minute went to the Domed Theater and checked out The Deftones. (e:metalpeter) I wish I had your #. If you wanted to go I would have been able to pick you in the Blo after I crossed the Peace Bridge.
Needless to say it was a kick ass show. They played for a little more than 90 minutes and the stage show was pretty impressive. They had the light board going behind them a la NIN style.
The only weird aspet of the show was this woman that I work with was a bartender there tonight. Most of the time I really can't stand her. She's just one of those people that loves to hear themselves talk, and thinks that just because she's skinny she's hot. While in actuality I think she looks like a freaking Muppet! But I digress I did have a good time and picked up a T-shirt. So with the $23 I won @ the track I ended up spending it on getting in and a bit more on an enjoyable concert.

Huh???Category: tv
I sure hope there is a movie in the works or something. I was rocking out to Journey's "Don't Stop Beieving" and then .....Black Screen???!!!???
WTF???
Like I said I sure hope there's a movie coming out soon or something.
Not that I was the biggest Sopranos fan. I think i was more enamoured with the theme song in the begining, but I grew to like Christopher and recently A.J.
Plus, it does help to pretend to be related to a main character's actor (Frank Vincent) :-( R.I.P. Which makes it even worse for this final episode.
Now why couldn't they have come close to the finale of 6 feet under??? That was THE BEST ENDING EVER OF ANY TV SERIES EVER.

SleepwalkingCategory: work
I was in this place last night until 3am and I pretty much felt as if I was sleepwalking. When I was driving home I was shocked awake when two whitetailed deer were running across River Rd as I was driving home. In being my almost sleepwalking state I had someone else check my car to see if I actually did hit something or not. Apparently I did not, thankfully. It's just that in that state of mind I just wasn't sure if it was real or not.
On a ligher not of being off mentally, I'm humming/singing "Stars are Blind" as we scan the Fox News Channel at the moment with Paris being the only topic @ the moment.
What blew my mind away is they have Ann Coulter on discussing Paris? Let's have an attractive, skinny blonde with an attitude give her $.02 on the current attractive, skinny blonde with even more Money, but not as much iintelligence that is in trouble. I just think it's a bit out of the ordinary, unless Paris is somehow related to the Democratic Party.

A nice time last nightCategory: e:strip party
I must say I did enjoy the sitting on the porch on a perfect night to do so. Being dry for the time being did give me an interesting perspective on how (e:strip) parties take off in certian directions.
This culminated in my friend Billy-B getting thrown into a frantic state from (e:lilho) !!! Basically this ended up in me taking us out by the Airport if you know what I mean :wink, wink:
So in all, what I can say is (e:lilho) you looked hot and really made a powerful impression on my friend for his first (e:strip) party!!!
So now I just sit here at work getting ready to start. Not that I really care anymore since my days are numbered. It is just that after being in Vegas and seeing how the lower end operators on the strip function and then coming back to this Shithole there just is no comparison. F this place.

Glad you both had a good time. I think (e:lilho) all ways looks hot when ever I've seen her. I have to admit sitting and standing on the porch was pretty nice. Being sober is not really a bad idea at one of those parties. I myself only had two drinks cause the alcohol was not agreeing with my body. I'm the first one to admit that I know nothing about the "gaming industry" or Vegas vs. The Falls. But what I can say is that when comparing them don't forget to factor in 1)it is Niagara Falls "Home to The big Plan, after Big Plan, after big plan, that never Happens" 2) It is Indian Run Casino on supposed indian land so thing would run differently then a "US" Casino 3). This is the only one it isn't like vegas where there and lots and all kinds of entertainment. I'm not saying what you are saying is wrong in fact I completely believe you and believe you know what you are talking about. But it is just good to remember the situations are a little bit different. Oh but there is one thing we have that Vegas Doesn't and that is (e:strip). It was nice to see you again. I wish you luck in your future endevors.

almost finished out hereCategory: vegas
I have been out here a week and to be honest I wish I could stay out here longer. This is the first time where I may have to leave something to stay here, Ha Ha.
The best part is I had to stay sober for the entire time out here and I still had a blast. The highlight of the trip was hanging out with my friend Chad from LJ. You just love the way the internet brings people together in very strange ways.
Now I have to pack and try to squeeze some fun in the next few hours before I head back to B-lo.
Oh, the mystery "guest" that sent me the message when I was leaving the Palms after a not so good session brought me a smile.

I admit that I never saw a single episode of six feet under so I have no idea about the ending. If I understand the way the story was written on the Sprano's was that it was from there perspective as if they where real and not a TV show. In other words there is more story that we don't get to see. I have to admit that this episode had two of the best shot scenes I have seen in the series that I can remember. When Phil was hit and then the showed the car rolling away with the kids in it that was increadible. Then the car rolls over his neck and a witness pukes that was awesome. The final scene had lots of forshadowing in it and was also writen and shot so well the scene set us fans up to that someone was going to get shot and maybe even meadow would get envovled somehow. I think having Tony get hit would have been a great TV Moment but he is the star of the show and story wise it would have been a bad ending. Not only that but then if they did that then sil would have to die also then "uncle" June also. So with a little bit of reflection I think they did the right thing. Not to mention Tony getting hit wouldn't make sense since they got Phil and he was the Boss of the crew and one of his hit guys sided with Tony. It is good from a $$$ stand point to leave things open you never know there could be a spinoff or a movie or what I think would be Cool is if they came out with a Movie called cleaver. In hollywood you never know what will happen.
