So me and (e:jill) leave in like 5.5 hours to go visit our friend jen who lives in Kentucky but on the Tennessee border. I should go to bed but I just am not tired yet. I can not wait to go. I think it will be really fun to just get away for a few days. Plus from talking to her, her little town and its craziness sound interesting. Lots of "get er done" plastered across windows and other such things.

As anyone who knows me knows, I hate flying and traveling. I have my bonine, and my sea band bracelets and my gum and everything ready but I still generally feel bleh. I seriuosly always need like a day to recover but I have been getting better as I travel a little more.

I also have a problem with overpacking as (e:maureen) will atest too. I tend to bring everything I own with me because I fear not having it. This time though I have packed rather lightly. At least for me. I'm sure in the mroning I will panic and throw in 10 more things but everything right now fit in a relatively speaking small suitcase. I am quite proud of myself!!! I seriously get crazy when packing. I honesty had to debate whether to bring my confirmation ring which I have virtually never worn since I got it like 10 years agao but what if this is the weekend I want to? I hope it doesn't get too cold there in the next two days as I brought virtually no sweaters!!! Well I hope I survive!!!

We didn't realize we were going the weekend of the Kentucky Derby but then when we realized we wanted to go but could not get tickets. It is also like 3 hours away from Jen's house. So we aren't going and then today I find out the Queen is going to be there. The Queen of England that is!! HOw did i not know! I read royalty websites like eveyrday though I do favor other royal familys over the English which get the most play. SO I COULD HAVE SEEN THE QUEEN AND NOW I CAN'T! THIS COULD HAVE BEEN MY CHANCE TO BECOME ROYALTY!!!! eh maybe we'll see her at Target or something while we are there.

I just talked to my friend Diana who works for Disney and takes pictures of people which they can then buy at the end. It is hilarious to talk to her about Disney stuff. Some tidbits from our conversation.

1.She is debating what to do on Friday. Does she go to princess karaoke with the princesses or a Barbie Party. Lumier's (from beauty and the beast) ex -b/f is hosting the Barbie Party and she knows everyone will be like ARiel Barbie while she is skipper and she wants to be friends more with Lumier than his ex b/f so she isn't' sure what to do.

2. Riding into Disney often involves sitting next to a man in a full fur costume eating a cheese stick.

3. The inner politics of Snow White versus Sleeping Beauty. Sleeping Beauty currently only gets like one day a week in the princess tent but she is starting to fight back and Snow White is gonna hve to be the one who loses time b/c everyone knows Cinderella ain't going nowhere, her castle is like the center of the park even though she is just princess by marriage while snow white and sleeping beauty are princess by birth. That money grubbing ho. You know the other princesses who were born royal hate her trying to take their glory.

4. Why is Beaty even a princess , her beast like husband was merely a duke. She is really just a bestiality loving slut living in sin. They never got married in the end.

5. Most of the MIckey Mouses are like 80 year old hispanic chain smoking women. I love that image!

6. She was talking about how she is good friends with Peter Pan, well a almost all of the Peter Pans.

Ok so maybe it doesn't soudn as funny ytped out, but it was a really fun conversation to have.

First of all my title made me think of the old stores Odds and Ends which were seriously amazing. They had the most random things. Way more random than any dollar store or .99 cent city. They seriously were the random to end all randomness. When they were going out of business I bought everything they had basically. Anywho that is not what this post is about.

First of all , the Susan Lucci of the Artvoice awards, (e:paul) has lost again. Next year we are gonna run a hard campaign and win that mofo. At least there was lots of good food. I really love pasta con vodka sauce and don't have it nearly enough.

Next up, Congratulations (e:chris) on officially owning the pet store. I was at the Eastern Hills today and saw the old bird was gone. I figure that means you guys are in.

My search for jeans has come to a temporary end. I have after all my searches found a pair of Levis that I really like, make that 2 pairs. I bought two pairs and it was only 55 dollars all together. That is cheaper than the pair I almost bouth at Express yesterday and didn't' even like as much. Who buys Levis anymore. But I love them. I also feel a little exposed now because in the fitting rooms at Macy's it say they are watching you. Well like everytime I was taking off my jeans my underwear kinda came off with them, giving those viewers quite a show.

Also, does anyone know of a person who does bowling ball sculpture work around here? Just wondering....thanks

So i went to the interview for the Real World today. I am so not as crazy as the other people so I am sure I didn't make it but we'll see. You find out at 9pm today I think he said if you make it to the next round. Even if I don't, at least I can say I tried!

So cleaning my room yesterday, I actually got sidetracked and started reading all these old cards and letters and stuff from my friends. WE were so ridiculous,partiuclarly me and (e:mk) I think. LIke when high school was ending and college was beginning and writing to each other about how things will never be the same and we hope we keep in touch and stay friends. And though we won't ever be the same again , at least hopefully we still talk sometimes. It was seriously crazy funny rading it now. Cuz um it is like 6 years later and we still see each other at least once a week, often more than that. We were so overdramatic about everything. (i know hard to believe a kid who made a 3 hours slideshow memory extravaganza oculd be overdramatic about going away to college). Is it unusual to still be so close with your highschool friends. While other pople have become my friends, my core group has been similar since like 9th grade. That is uncommon I think, but maybe not, I don't know. It is strange. I often feel at this point I am the glue holdikng eveyrone together, like I still am friends with and talk to everyone and so they stay friends through me but I like it. I guess we were just the right mix of poeple, or we are just really bad at making new friends and so are sticking it out with these ones, haha.

Today is February 28
Today is Erin and Mellisa's birthday. Erin and Melissa both got a magic nursery baby for there birthday. Last night the war ended. I'm very glad. Last night I went to cub scouts. TOmorow is a half a day. On Saturday my brother will have a sleepout for the homeless. On Sunday is the spaghetti for my brothers scouts.P.S. Happy Birthday Erin.

I love that journal because the end of the Gulf War took second billing to Erin and Melissa's birthday and got as much play as cub scouts. At first I was thinking I wish life was like that still and then I thought about it and it kinda is. How often do I really think about the war. I don't know it is weird.
