What the hell is is about Christmas that completely brings out the schlock!? I am desperately trying to figure this out. I think I'm the only person I know who hates the damn "Christmas Shoes" Song! It truly brings up the bile in me. Could it get more, I don't know, gimicky? Its got the guy who oversings, the sappy lyrics, the children's choir singing the sappy lyrics. It's possible worse than "Dear Mr. Jesus", which used to be charming, when I was 12.
Oy Vey! And what is with all of the "pop" stars who sing Christmas songs and then, well ruin them. It's enough to want to make me stick with the classics, you know, Bing, Ella, Frank, Dean. Only 21 more days of having to put up with all!
You'd never guess from this post that I actually adore Christmas! It is my favourite time of year.
Sorry I've been so remiss in my postings. I didn't have anything to say, though!

Something in the AirThere must be something in the air lately. I don't know what it is, maybe it's the weather- the gloom in the air- but I have been a total flakey airhead, and frankly, it's totally unlike me! I just can't seem to get out of this weird, light-headed fog. It's making me feel very, very blonde!

types of intelligenceWhen I was taking classes at Buff. State in the Spring of 2003, I had taken a class in child psychology. In part of it, we learned about different types of intelligence. Last night, it was oh so aparent that I am completely lacking in Bodily-Kinesthetic Intelligence. I look like a spastic chicken when trying to perform routines. It takes me forever to actually get it into my head and then into my limbs on how to actually perform anything that is routine. It's what me an awful cheerleader, but I worked very hard to end my ineptitude. It hasn't worked thus far. Hello, my name is Springfaerie, and I have no Bodily-Kinesthetic ability!

Polar ExpressWell, last night I went to see "the Polar Express" with my Uncle Stan, the senior VP for SonyImageworks. I have to tell you, the movie was flawless! And if you're planning on going to see it, if to just see the computer graphics, you need to see it at the Imax in 3-D. It truly is the only way to see this movie. I was completely blown away by the imagery and the camera movement and the details- my God! the details were- well- perfect! Go and see it at the Imax. It is so worth the money. You won't be disappointed.
And if you have nothing to do tonigt at around 6, come to the Albright for my Uncle's lecture on visual storytelling. It's going to be awesome!
Hope to see you there, (E:peeps)!

What would your dollar and a dream be?I'm going in on Mega Millions lotto pool at work. It's up to about $100 million dollars now. Needless to say, if we *DO* win, NO ONE will be coming to open the bank on Monday!
Once we decided, "What the hell? Why not? What do we have to loose?", talk immediately turned to, "What would you do?" I've had this conversation a few times over the years ("Over the years"- like I'm *SO* old, or something!) and my answer is pretty much the same everytime. Here goes...
1. Pay off all of my debts
2. Pay off my parents' and brothers' debts
3. Buy a house for myself, a huge three story Victorian, preferably that needs
a lot of work
4. Build my parents their dream house, wherever they want
5. Buy myself a dark blue beetle (my needs are simple!)
6. Buy my parents matching jags! (British racing green for mom, and maybe for
dad, too!)
7. Fly my family first class to England for a huge family Christmas!
8. Take my grandmother on a trip, wherever she wants to go.
9. Go to NYC on a fabulous shopping spree- Tiffany's here I come!
I'm sure there's lots more but that's all I can think of right now.
Enjoy your own dreams, E- peeps!
