Christmas Tree
Category: holiday
I decided to let down a little on my anti-christmas tree stance so that (e:matthew) could get a tree for his star trek ornament collection. He now has almost the entire collection and he never had a big tree to put them on.

We went to go look for one yesterday on the way home from searching for a USB microscope. Does anyone know where to buy one locally.

I guess you have to think of them like buying flowers. They were grown to be picked. I suppose one every five years isn't so bad.

We were going to buy a potted one but they are like $60 at the coop.

So we went to go get a tree yesterday but (e:terry) kind of freaked out about the tree and went in the car, so we didn't get one afterall.

Does anyone else eat at Solid Ground. I love that place but when we got there at 2:30PM, it was already closing so we ended up at Ambrosia.

The hours at Solid Grounds seem so strange. I guess they cater to the hospital crowd for morning and lunch, and that's it.

Join the army or stop pretending
Category: war
Do you really think (e:ajay) is going to shut up for Christ's sake, lol.

[inlink]joshua,84[/inlink]"The more interesting topic in this debate is how you cry for the war dead, but have NO FUCKING SYMPATHY WHATSOEVER for the people who died on 9/11."

Remind me, where did (e:ajay) say that? In his entry he makes no mention of not having any sympathy for 911 victims.

In fact he says [inlink]ajay,401[/inlink], "War is ugly. War is brutal. War leaves the victor not much better off than the vanquished." Which sounds like he is against war on both sides.

Do you really think that what you say sounds like a compelling argument. It sounds like brute force aggression with little substance behind it. At least ajay provides some links to outside supporting information, seriously Joshua what a lame argument.

So now it my turn to do a little name calling for fun as you seem to have made it appropriate. You can beat me up afterwards if it makes you feel better. At least you could beat me up.

Maybe you never met (e:ajay), or maybe it is because he is a generally peaceful guy, 3000 miles away that you feel safe threatening him but honestly he is like two times the amount of muscle mass and size as you are about a foot taller. He looks like he could be a warrior and you look like Pancho Sanchez. If there was a bet on that fight I would put all my clams on ajay seriously. Maybe if you fight as a twin team duo. Maybe.

The real question is, "Why don't you sign up to fight for what you believe in?" Take some of the disturbing agression the two of you have pent up and put it toward what you believe in. I am not just saying this to make fun of you. I seriously think you are a fucking pussy for not fighting for what you believe in. How do you even look at yourself in the mirror thinking that your beliefs possibly condemn people to death while you guys sit around on your fat asses, smoking pot and complaining about how hard it is to be you. I am so tired of hearing about how tragic it is to be a Larson brother. Maybe the army would do you guys some good.

P.S.S. Despite the Pancho Sanchez comment I still love you (in a platonic way, of course). I'll be at Hardware/Pink later on and I'll buy you a bevvy. Hell, even at this point I'd buy Ajay one too if here was here, as long as he doesn't call me an islamofascist ;-)
joshua - 12/10/05 22:44
Also - my reference to the 9/11 victims was made not because he didn't say it overtly; its because he and others gloss over American deaths on a daily basis to make way for the people who die as a result of American actions. I'm not a person that harbors aggression - but when I see somebody attack my twin in an ad hominem manner, you better believe that I'm going to be aggressive.

I could flood your journal with facts about why pretty much everything that dribbles out of the corner of Ajay's mouth is a steaming pile of horseshit. Why don't I do it? For a couple reasons. A)He's going to ignore it regardless of how factual it is, and talk about something else. B) Ajay, though his actions, has made it clear that he doesn't deserve my respect. Why should I talk to a child like an adult? C) I'm in the minority here concerning political persuasion - my readership consists of people who think that Wal-Mart is the Evil Empire. Whats the point of talking WITH people, when in the end all that really happens is that they are being talked AT because of preconceived notions?
joshua - 12/10/05 22:37
Its not tragic to be a Larson brother. I love my life, for the most part. And the reason why the argument concerning "if you believe in it, fight in it" is a vapid, incorrect argument is because being in the Army is a CHOICE that people make. Its a volunteer force, 100%. You think its wrong to believe something is the right thing to do if you don't commit to it yourself? Let me illustrate why this argument is silly - Paul, do you believe that we should end poverty in America? Well, apparently you are a "fucking pussy" if you aren't ready to sell all of your shit, live on the street and rough it like the poor. Case closed.

P.S. I rarely smoke pot because its rarely around. Yes, if Ajay called me an islamofascist in person he'd get coldcocked. And yes, Ajay DOES owe Jason an apology for comparing him to an Islamofascist - what kind of psycho could even dream up such a thing? Jason isn't cutting anyones throats, he isn't blowing himself up to kill civilians (a fact that many of you are glossing over is that Al-Qaeda is the #1 killer of civilians in the Middle East today, NOT the American Army). If a person can't see how thats an improper comparison I feel sorry for them.

beggin in the burbs
Category: people
We are in the best buy parking lot on Niagara Falls Blvd again. This time I got a better pic of the former field gone parking lot.

I love it when the snow drifts eat shopping carts. I bet hitting them in a snow plow is really fun.

We saw a beggar, or a man appearing to be one here in the lot. How do beggars get to the outer suburbs? Do you think the prospects are better than in the city during christmas time.

snowy car trash
Category: transport
Does anyone have snowy car trash? Every year at this time we forget that the garbage which normally can peacefully exist in the back seat foot area of our car has the potential potential to become a nasty slush of paper waiting to be recycled.

We ate the yummy steak sandwich at the pink. If you never tried it and you don't mind eating animals you have to get it. The only downside is that it costs $9.00. It is definitely enough for two.

(e:lilho) and (e:terry) were really into th hunk hunt machin last night at the Pink.

girl drinks and ho oats
Category: food
(E:terry) and (e:lilho) went ot to get some drinks. They got 40s but bought me a girl drink. Well I asked for something like it but I was expecting lemon flavor and it was some super fruity raspberry, not my fav.

Do you think raspberries are called raspberries because the plant rasps your skin?

On another note what does everyone think about knocking down the ho oats building?

metalpeter - 12/10/05 12:38
I like sminorf Ice but havn't been able to try any of the flavored ones yet. I really like mikes but you might call that a pussy drink.

On a side note I like the towers. I hope they make the right decision and keep them or work them into what ever they build. At the verry least they could turn it into a huge sign and maybe a museusm about native american history. I hope the senca's do something with them.
