Our electronics project finally works.Cassie and I got our project working last night and then headed over to the Pink for my last Media Studies at the Pink night. Everyone was so drunk to welcome in the end of the semester.
My favorite part was the steak sandwich, for such a nasty little bar they have a really good grilled steak sandwich. We ordered it with onions and peppers, which didn't come. So Cassie complained and we got another one for free. Having two sandwiches made the price more reasonable as they are $9 each. But seriously, it's $9 of tastieness, or mayabe the tastiness arrives from drinking beer beforehand.
In like an hour we are going to go to the space and set up the show. Our project is all about portables so there isn't much set up, but cleaning up the dungeon will be a pain. It is in the basement of the factory at the corner of Auburn and Niagara St. 20 Auburn.
Happy Cinqo di Mayo. I will probably be out with everyone tonight after work, as long as, the project is totally ready to go.

Interview Part 2I am writing this from the new Linux server I installed in my office. Soon students will be able to use it for production work. I had my final interview with the Dean today. It seemed to go quite well. I really hope that it all works out with this job, I have never been more excited about anything in my life.

Tablet PCSo my Fujitsu Stylistic 3500 came in the mail yesterday. I love it and don't love it. I love it because it's a tablet PC and its way more fun to navigte the OS with a pen. It's form factor is also great. But no ethernet, win 98, no wireless, no keyboard kind of sucks. I tried to upgrade the OS to WIN XP but I couldn't type in the serial with the handwriting software, which I can't get without going on the internet. It's like a vicious circle. I have to play with it some more.
I did, however, make me realize that I do want a very modern tablet PC as my next laptop. Here is a sketch made of the statue of liberty in GIMP. The pen is not pressure sensitive without the driver which I can't get without the internet.
