Buffet is actually on my list of people I would like to meet.
Buffet wrote excellent shareholder letters for Bershire Hathaway. The style of these letters is considered rare for their honesty, wording and sense of hummor.
I thought you might be interested:
:::link:::

(incase anyone was wondering, I have a slight ceo fetish)

here is an excerpt from 1997:
"Given our gain of 34.1%, it is tempting to declare victory and move on. But last year's performance was no great triumph: Any investor can chalk up large returns when stocks soar, as they did in 1997. In a bull market, one must avoid the error of the preening duck that quacks boastfully after a torrential rainstorm, thinking that its paddling skills have caused it to rise in the world. A right-thinking duck would instead compare its position after the downpour to that of the other ducks on the pond.

So what's our duck rating for 1997? The table on the facing page shows that though we paddled furiously last year, passive ducks that simply invested in the S&P Index rose almost as fast as we did. Our appraisal of 1997's performance, then: Quack."

The letters aren't written entirely in this style, but anyone can takea look at their own company's glossed over annual report and shareholder address--equally glossed over, and will immediately see the difference.

Okay, Here it is...
Category: survey
Reading through these I have to say was a little boring. And mine ain't much better:

1. How did you find out about/why did you become of estrip?
I was doing a Google search for OPM's Dj line up/schedule and I happened upon a link that described massive boobs. I hit the link and it took my to (e:jenks) pics and post about a ladies night of bowling and dancing. I made my way through some prevocative pictures of certain members and was like, I'm in!

2. How "out" are you about having a publicly accessible online journal. Do your friends know? Does your family know? Do your co-workers know? Does your boss know? Do you use your real name? Do you use your real photo?
I show people from time to time but it seems as if nobody cares because it's not myspace.
My brother knows and he says y'all are off your meds.
My co-workers know but they never visit. (Thank God).
My boss knows cause one time he had his dirty ass crack hangin out and I took a picture of it with my phone, threatening to put it up here.
3. How many epeeps have you met real life?
a few

4. How has estrip changed the way that you meet people, on and/or off line?
well, sometimes I meet people out for sushi with plans made through the chat.

5. How has estrip affected you love life?
Sort of... I have more people now that I love and care about...

6. How many of your friends have joined estrip because of your influence?
Nobody and if they did I couldn't vent about what a montley crue we are.

7. Are you from Buffalo/do you live in Buffalo?
I'm from all over the Buffalo/Niagara region spending time all over this great area.

Equipment:
1. What type of hardware or software purchases have you made as a result of using estrip?
Purchase software, who does that. I have shared some software and data files.

2. Have you used the mobile version of estrip? Why or why not?
I can't afford to go online with my phone. Not to mention it's mad old... Although I have a one gigabyte sansdisk (not flash) and headphones making my phone an itunes phone before that hole thing was thought up.

Lifestyle:
1. In what way has estrip changed your Internet surfings habits? Describe the amount of time you spend on estrip, when you use it and about how long?
I always check (e:strip) after my (e:mail) but sometimes I just check my google home page for interesting journal entries. Not as much as in the begginning...I noticed I was developing an addiction so I weaned myself off the site and imposed some restrictions.

1a. How many journals do you usually read per day?
Most of the days post.

2. In what ways has estrip changed the way you perceive your local community?
Not really at all.

3. How has journaling about your life affected the way you spend your free time?
I try to make time to type in some reflections from the day. Usually my posts take about half hour to forty five minutes.

4. Has estrip changed your living situation in any way?
Nope.

5. Do you find that you mediate/document more of your experiences now that you share them with others?
SOmetimes..but sometimes I like to keep things to myself. I like having my life story out there

6. Has publishing on estrip affected the way that write?
Probably, I'm more conscious of my writing style. but most of the time I'm so obliterated by the time I log on and go with my remaining limited faculties.

7. Do you have other online journals? If so, with what service and has estrip affected your usage of that journal?
No.

8. Have you ever gotten in trouble for using estrip at work?
The shithole I work in doesn't have a computer let alone an internet connection

9. If you have stopped using estrip, why?
I have many projects and homework to do for school so I don't write everyday anymore. Not to mention the weather has been fuckin gorgeous so I'm never inside.

Phew, love it, Mrdt

Listen to the Dalai Lama
Category: gungagalunga
Carl Spackler (Bill Murray): So I jump ship in Hong Kong and make my way over to Tibet, and I get on as a looper at a course over in the Himalayas. A looper, you know, a caddy, a looper, a jock.

So, I tell them I'm a pro jock, and who do you think they give me? The Dalai Lama, himself. Twelfth son of the Lama. The flowing robes, the grace, bald... striking. So, I'm on the first tee with him. I give him the driver.

He hauls off and whacks one - big hitter, the Lama - long, into a ten-thousand foot crevasse, right at the base of this glacier. Do you know what the Lama says? Gunga galunga... gunga, gunga-galunga.

So we finish the eighteenth and he's gonna stiff me.
And I say, "Hey, Lama, hey, how about a little something, you know, for the effort, you know."

And he says, "Oh, uh, there won't be any money, but when you die, on your deathbed, you will receive total consciousness."

So I got that goin' for me, which is nice!

Have to Write Something
Category: hodgepodge
A year ago I was squatting on my third set a 135#'s for twelve reps, yesterday on my fourth set I squatted 255#'s for eight reps. It's safe to say my legs are getting strong. But what the fuck is the deal with my upperbody? The other day I made it up to the 65# dumbbells for 6 on my third set of a flat bench press, which is about 25#s heavier than last year. I think I should try to work those upper muscle groups twice a week for a shorter but more intense workout.

Even though I'm somewhat in a calorie restriciton I'm still gaining muscle which is good to see. Over the past four weeks I've been able to gain 1.5#'s shedding 7.63#'s of fat while losing 6.5#'s overall. 14 more weeks to go from Monday, and 2 weeks until I begin the 2006 Body for Life Challenge.

I just got an e-mail from my buddy who is loaning me his bike for the Tour de Cure and I guess it's on so I will be continuing to collect pledges. Iif you want to donate or pledge for my ride let me know. I think I'm well conditioned for the 33 miler but I'm still debating the 66 miler (which could turn into a 4-5 hour ride if at any point during the first two hours I get pooped). But you never know, I've been warning people that I may double their expected pledge, although it doesn't seem to bother people because it's for a really good cause.

All right that's it. everythings going pretty good... the weather's been great, I feel great...I'm doin kind of shitty in managerial accounting (c-ish) but so far I'm in the high A range for statisitcs. Which is the exact opposite of my scores in undergrad. But I got a little outdoor office setup on my deck under the big umbrella so I can enoy the weather/pool day or night so I can study hard and not have to be stuck in the house.

I think I'm goin to Hyde Park, NY then NYC for the first weekend in July. Should be a good time.

I've been gettin really stoned lately and I think it's time to back off for a while (but the white diamonds are back). Case in point I had to open the spell check to figure out how to spell "little." Not-to-mention the laziness that it brings when you can't coherently do anything but drool down yourself.

But anyway, I heard this tune on the oldies station and felt, well, old. What is a tune from the eighties doing on oldies 104?? So I'm putting it up their for you'll to listen to and feel better. Now, get outside, get some exercise and if you need someone to show you how to take care of your bike, holla!!!

It's time to feel good.

Love, MrDT

the front delts play a major part in the press movement as well.

I usually use the ball to rock out the ab work but never really tried it for chest. I give it a whirl sooner or later.

It seems though that my lowerbody has many more fast twitch muscle fibers than the top half and thats why my legs respond so well to the weight stimulation. If I keep it up for a while I think my upper body will catch up. It's just gonna take a good amount of training for years.
chico - 06/15/06 14:40
What're you doing for back, triceps, and core? Building those as well as chest would be good for boosting your bench/dumbbell press #s.

Also I find that half the battle with dumbbell press is stability. If the weights are stable, you can focus on pushing them straight up. One thing I've tried in the past that works pretty well is switching from a bench to a large exercise ball for a couple of weeks -- do the dumbbell presses with your feet on the floor and the ball under your middle back -- it really forces those stability muscles to wake the hell up. Try it for a few workouts, say 2-3 weeks, then go back to the bench and see if there's a positive difference.

Good luck....!

69 dude
It's times like these that I am reminded of Bill & Ted and when that movie came out I had no idea what 69 meant. I really didn't uinderstand the full meaning of it til me and my ex got extremely passionate and just rolled around the bed grasping each other very tightly while giving the other a lot of pleasure. I can now distinguish the true side by side 69 as oppossed to bottom/top 69, which is more of a yin-yang.

But anyway, I'm watching the Girl Next Door on the split screen and I think Eliisha Cuthbert, also star of of the now Fox hit 24, is one of the hottest women of the world. So in honor of my 69th post I would like to present you with pictures of Elisha, a women I would like to 69!!!

"The Girl Next Door" is amazing. I still don't get how you play a porn star and don't do frontal nudity. I know a few lucky people on the set got to see her nude. There is that scene where they show all the gorgous back boob. I'm not going to say what I would like to do to her I'd even be happy if we did a 68 and she owed me one. I'm also not going to say what I would let her do to me. She is amazing plus I think she is a good actress. I think like Kiefer Sutherland she might be from canada but not sure.
lilho - 06/07/06 18:09
okay, its fine if you wanna check out those pics on your own time, but dont post them here. thanx.
