just to let y'all know...the play did indeed get called about a minute after my friends had left. And then I couldn't get through to my mom for like 15 minutes, so I did get a little soaked. Thanks to (e:mike) for the blanket, which did also get wet and is now drying on the line downstairs in my basement.
Sidenote, when I was waiting for my sister to get out of the trailer backstage, some important man came by and said "folks, if you're waiting for someone, please wait on the hill." The odd thing was, I was the only person there. Why refer to me as folks, when I am a singular folk? I don't know if I would have preferred "miss" or "m'am"...I actually can't stand either of those. But "folks"...hmm...it just felt strange...
Pics will be up soon from our little excursion soon, Jillian y Miguel. (I was thinking in a French accent when I typed that, yet it is Spanish...)
And thanks for the book Terry!

sugar sugarYou know what I haven't seen in such a long time?
A Caramello commercial.
I was thinking maybe because it's been around for a while and stuff, but you still see the occasional ad for Snickers, Milky Way, Twix, M&M's, Hershey's...no Caramello though. I feel like I used to enjoy the Caramello commercials. Not that I remember much...wasn't there often someone like pulling the candy bar apart and seeing how far the caramel would stretch? Hopefully I'm not confusing that with Little Caesar's and the cheese...
While we're on the subject, anyone miss the Bart Simpson Butterfinger commercials?
...mk's mind browses the candy display of the cashier aisle she knows too well...
Hmmm...are they still doing "Gimme a break" Kit Kat ads? Maybe they are...
I don't love the whole "Taste the Rainbow" thing. Creeps me out a little.
Whatchamacallits. Now I think they had some good ads for that...am I wrong?
Hmmm can we say Mentos???
And those Reese's commercials in which various people displayed a variety of ways to eat a Reese's. (There's no wrong way...)
Have I made you hungry? Are all you low-carb lifestyle folks cursing my name? Well it must be about time for lunch...including candy, of course. I highly recommend going for those "obscure" candy bars who deserve just as much airtime as the rest. Go lay a finger on a Butterfinger! Break off a piece of that Kit Kat bar! EQUALITY FOR CANDY!

Drop Everything And Read timeI just finished my first book of the summer.
"East of Eden" by John Steinbeck.
Some (probably not many...) may recall that I said I started this book in January on my famous Seattle trip [inlink]mk,47[/inlink]. Well, it didn't really take me 6 months to finish...I started it then, read 4 chapters, and then put it down for until the school year ended. So, I'm not THAT slow...
AAAAnyway...great book. I enjoyed it and was kinda sad when it was over. I felt so involved with all the characters. I bet it could go on much longer and that would be okay. Well unless all action and the characters ended up doing nothing but sitting around staring at each other for the rest of their lives.
So what to read next...everyone is recommending the DaVinci Code of course...problem is, no one has one to let me borrow!!! My dad just read "Snow Falling On Cedars"...a murder mystery. I think it may be a movie? Maybe that will be the one. I also tried reading a biography of Charles Mingus (famous jazz bassist) but it's pretty boring...maybe someday...
Any entries suggesting some good books would be appreciated!!

bikes, blogs, drinks & sketches...It seems to me that it's a problem when you go back and read your old journal entries and you actually annoy yourself. And by old I mean two days ago.
I caught the "bike-bug". I got down my old school, hot pink 10 speed last night in the garage, and I wouldn't say it's in stellar shape. So now I want a bike. However...I should probably get a car first. I know bikes are cheaper and better for the environment. But eventually...with the little money I have...I suppose I should put it towards a car...poop...
Oh yeah and blog is everywhere. There was some report on it on 88.7 WBFO this morning. What's the blog craze?
Mmmm...Goldschlager is tasty...
I think later on my lunch I might attempt to sketch a picture...but not with a mouse...one of those funny laptop mouses that you just move your finger along. The results may be scary...

soy un perdedor...and tator totsI just abandoned a trip to the home of estrip.com to go home and fall asleep. I'm such a loser! I mean I did wake up and paint a house early. AND went shopping. AND bought my father's day present. AND went to spot! (on Elmwood). WHHEWWWW what a day! I'm surprised I can even type!
I'm shocked there are actually 2 e peeps online. I'm generally the only one and have still continued to type in the chat. Oh now 3! So crowded!
I don't like my user pic so much anymore. I miss the penguin. I actually took a picture of myself with my camera phone that is nice. I'm so vain. Camera phones are handy when you are bored though. Anyway, maybe I'll post that pic. It's fairly cute and therefore a completely inaccurate portrayal of yours truly.
How would you feel if someone compared the shape of your body to a tator tot?
