fun on your back
Yesterday I bought a backpack. Sorta random, since it's the middle of summer. But I had a nice coupon through my lovely Student Advantage card for an online purchase (http://www.ebags.com). I haven't owned a backpack since my sophomore year of high school. I miss it! Yay backpacks. :0)

elmwood strippers?
I don't know what all the fuss is about, my userpic is clearly me and my handsome, prince boyfriend.

j/k. I agree, post your own pic. Mike you have your own pic in a way. An artist's rendering. I used to have mine up but not too many others really did, making me feel shallow and freakish. Ok well maybe not that bad. But I took it down, and now I better rethink that move based on demands of my fellow elmwood strip...pers.

Elmwood strippers? Hmm I don't think I like that. I wonder how long until we have a name for ourselves...or if we ever will. People who collect in large numbers online often have, err, clever names...Grobanites (Josh Groban fans), Baleheads (Christian Bale fans), X-Philes (duh)...and I only know these courtesy of my sister. I SWEAR!

Anyway..names are a little cheesy. Will we eventually have one? Should we? Hmmm...

Also, a little tribute to my favorite movie...

(that's referring to my userpic...I realize as I update that arrow will be pointing to a blank space and I might look a little nutso)

a drive-by bannering
Got a little sneak peek of the banner as I drove down Elmwood home from work yesterday...

Lookin good. I tried taking a picture on my handy little phone...then the light turned green and I ended up with a blurry picture of some cars and trees. Not really the result I was hoping for.

Lake George...I believe I will be somewhere near there this weekend.

p.s. Right now my life is work > social life. I don't think I'm taking too well to it...

Office Space
JessBob I can relate your qualms (is that how you spell it?) with the working world. I find myself at work given a large amount of time to do tasks that actually take me about a quarter of the time given, so I end up sitting around checking my mail or elmwoodstrip obsessively. (And yes, I do feel guilty since this isn't like reading the newspaper and I'm being paid for doing erroneous things.) My computer isn't exactly in the middle of the room, but everytime I hear someone coming I frantically minimize or close the window. I wouldn't be surprised if I ended up starting this very entry over like four times. Sometimes if I've truly exhausted the possibilities of the Internet, I resort to Minesweeper or Spider Solitaire. But closing a game of Minesweeper when you might almost have won is a terribly disappointing feeling.

Well I really hope someone from the office discovers this entry, hahaha...not!

Have a nice day...or should I say it's been a pleasure...??
