bananas
ok, this might seem a little odd, but i bought these bananas on wednesday, wednesday november 2nd. and today is sunday, sunday november 6th.

and they may have been a little more green than the typical banana color, but that was all they had, so i figured why not cuz typically when i buy bananas they start to go brown the day after i buy em. and i usually get em a bit green (lesson learned from shopping w/ my mom when i was little, get em a little greener than you'd like so they last ya) so i thought they would definitly be good and ready by now...

but look at em:

and im not playing with the colors or anything. here you can compare it with the color of my hand (and the bright pink nail polish... yeah i was bored this weekend)

image

they are just soooo green... still

image

do ya think they will ever yellow themselves???

i sure hope they do...

i gotta make some more banana bread!!!
hodown - 11/07/05 09:11
Put 'em in a paper bag with an apple, i heard that works. Something about what the apple emits ripens them...
paul - 11/07/05 00:01
You what do you do to rippen bananas?!
amanda - 11/06/05 23:49

Ok yes, my fraggle did seem to spend a little too much time in the selftanner aisle. Stupid orange face paint...i thought it would be so bright not so fake buffalo tan chic!

hehehe, do this
1.) go to www.google.com
2.) type in "failure" without the quotes
3.) press the I'm feeling lucky button (instead of the google search one)
4). Laugh

Hurry, before google fixes this
jason - 10/27/05 21:43
Go ahead, someone tell me who was #2 on the "failure" search list.
ajay - 10/27/05 14:49
For added chuckles, try "miserable failure"
alison - 10/27/05 12:24
ha!
iriesara - 10/27/05 11:35
that's awesome - the truth always slips through some how!
drchlorine - 10/27/05 11:28

what a conundrum...
so... I've been dating this guy for about a month and a half and he really likes me. but i still think i really have feelings for my ex.

so the guy i'm currently with (let's call him Z) is, like i said, really nice and he relaly really likes me.

but my ex (lets call him X) wasnt as into me, but i was so much more into him than i am into Z.

and what was a total red flag to me about me and Z occured the other night:
so i was out at a bar with Z and i saw X there, and my stomach was flipping, i really missed him. then he went out of his way and came up to me and talked to me. it was like the first time in a while we really talked since he broke up with me. (and i know i will never go back out with X since he did break up with me, im just not going to do that)

but here is my question: what do i do about Z???

i really don't think i am all that into him physically. i'm just not attracted to him. i think if i was attracted to Z as much as X then i would totally be into him. but i know how much he likes me and i would never want to hurt him like that. but then again, im not entirelly sure that i don't like him, that there isn't any potential...

should I:
a) keep things the way they are and see where it goes?
b) end it right now before it goes any farther?
c) tell him how i feel and see how he takes it?
d) any suggestions???

and by the way, i really can't see myself doing either b or c...

jason - 10/14/05 11:10
It's unfair to the guy to be in a relationship where the girl isn't really into him. But, then again, nobody cares about the guy's plight normally. I agree with the Rugger, B is the best solution. End it and find a guy you actually like.
sbrugger - 10/14/05 09:09
B is the best solution...A isn't fair to either of you and C will just end up in B...soooooo...
mike - 10/14/05 01:28
hmm julie that sounds awfully a lot like another (e:strip)pers situation....she knows what I think about it

Do i have a pool???
ok, so the other day i discovered google earth, and boy was i amazed!!! i found my home in hamburg and then (e:amanda)'s house which was easy cuz she's got a huge pool, and i just went searching around the buffalo area while i was waiting in one of the computer labs, before i could go to the other room for my class to start.

ok, so i spent that day mainly in the western new york area while this evening, i decided to download it myself on my computer and check out Miami a little bit. so i found the university of Miami, which definitely looks different than those little maps they have around so little freshmen and visitors don't get all lost. but then i went searching for our apartment, which really wasn't a big challenge, we are practically right across the street from school. but upon finding our building, i found a little something extra on our roof...

it appears that we have a pool on our roof!!! now i know the building next door has a pool on the roof, I've been up there with my landlord before, but Rachel, my roommate, and i had no idea we had a pool too!!! i'm still kinda amazed!!! we are on the third floor, who's apartment is filled with a pool???

well here's a picture. we are in the longer narrower building, and the one just to the south of us is the one I've been on the roof of and i know that's a pool...

image

so do we have a pool on our roof too??? i wanna go up there!!!!
mike - 10/02/05 20:21
OMG That's awesome! Have you used the pool yet? So do you think maybe there is a pool on the roof of my house? The slant would make it difficult but maybe it is really my parents best kept secret?
amanda - 10/01/05 11:33
i dont know why im supposed to comment on this. um...cool? haha. there is a pool somewhere in your building?
paul - 09/30/05 23:32
I remember it was so fun when I found keyhole in 2004. they were the company that google bought to make google earth :::link:::
