friday got my ticket cleared up. i called the courthouse like 3 times on the way in desperate hope it would closed due to weather. i got there late - but it didn't even matter. i waited for about 3 hours. $110 - no points on my license. i guess i can't complain too much.
when i got home marla and i decorated the house to the extreme, listened to burl ives and drank hot cider and rum. i was a touching scene. apparently the mantle we have in our bar room is removable and we moved it into the dining room and decortaed that as well. cozy. later on people came over and we drank more rum and cider and watched "the aristocrats." it put me in a vile mood for the rest of the weekend. something about watching bob saget talk filthy made me disgusting. the things that came out of my mouth this weekend really surpized me. and i think everyone around me as well.
saturday. game day. going to this game may have been the 2nd biggest mistake of my life. the first being getting completely wasted at it in front of my coworkers. i spent yesterday looking for a new job as i couldn't fathom coming in today. but here i am - hiding out for dear life in my cubicle. if i can just hide for the next month hopefully it will be forgotten.

23 is the new 33luna and roxys were fun last nite. my chest still hurts from roxy smoke. i sang 'beast of burden.' after the first verse my lyrics shut off. it is funny because i know every word to that song - but i blanked. yikes. i almost choked but luckily pulled myself together.
after roxys i stopped by coles to say hi to my sister. while i was there i started chatting with 2 gentlemen who were quite sweet. after about 20 minutes, the one asked how old i was. "23," i replied. this guy acutally says back to me; "oh man! i totally have an older brother that is perfect for you!"
i am never going out again.
to make matters worse, after exiting directly after this i fell right on my ass on the ice outside.

Not much of a bar person myself (plus I wake up to early to go out to them). But I would like to see the Stripteasers some time again. I saw a couple performances of there's this summer at Music Is Art that where interesting and good. I know they used to preform at Roxy's some night of the week and another night they had what was refered to on the radio as "Lesbian Karoke" at Roxy's.

la luna is this bar on chippewea - they have open bar on wednesdays from 11-12 (no strings attached, not even cover). it isnt like a chippewea chippewea bar(i swear.) it is known more for being a salsa bar. a lot of the old blu crowd turned hardware crowd is there. stop by next wednesday - it is fun. (although rumor is the open bar nite may be drawing to an end.)

i overdrew my bank account by $436.52with every good thing there is some bad.
good thing #1:
i wanted to get my dad a business card scanner for christmas. yesterday i got one free from work!
bad thing #1:
i overdrew my bank account by $436.52. that is real bad. i don't understand how i have the best paying (if not the only paying) job of all my friends and i am the one that is always broke! holy crap it is gonna be a dollar store christmas.
good thing #2:
i won a $250 dollar gift card from best buy at work today. maybe it wont be a dollar store xmas after all.
bad thing #2:
dinner last nite was torture. my uncles girlfriend it the worst. it was so uncomfortable i almost had to leave. they have been together about a year. i havnt really liked her off the bat. i hate to be a girl hater - but she is so awful. i wont launch into detail too much, but last nite she spent dinner talking about when they are married and birthing their children. i'm sorry, but in my family these are not subjects to be brought up in front of my grandmother with out a ring on your finger. i thought poor nana was going to faint. man, that was awful.
i know with the current status of my checking account i shouldn't be going out...but its wednesday! luna then wherever later

mooshu wholast nite theresa and i ordered chinese and settled down for my guiltiest of pleasures - The Gauntlet.i drove from her house on Bryant to pick it up at that place on the corner of Elmwood and Delavan. When i got it back to her house i noticed the veggie mooshu i ordered was chicken mooshu. i called and they offered to deliver which was badass. theresa was excited at the prospect of more left overs. but when i went downstairs to meet to deliveryman - he asked me for the other back. i find this bizarre. what was he going to do with it? gross
i was awakened at 5am to my room shaking and pounding with music and dancing. i hate my housemates. hate. them. seriously - 5am on monday? what the hell. i don't want to be the cranky neighbor, but this is ridiculous.
cecilias tonite for matt's bday (my uncle.) i can think of nothing better for a 25th bday present the Trapped in The Closet Volumes 1-12

You're talking about the Great Wall, yeah? I used to live right above there. I ate their food also, but I must say in all my 20-odd years in Buffalo, living above there was the only time I ever saw cockroaches (until I moved to Texas)....hhmm, coincidence?

ellis and douglaseread Less Than Zero today. i havnt read it in a long time. i think the first time i read it i didn't really grasp it, because now that i just read it again i am so blown away. it is wierd how that happens. different life experiences make you identify so much more with something that was just 'good' before.
anyways. today i did the tree thing as well. for whatever reason my mother felt the need to get one for the upstairs living room and the down stairs family room. this seems fairly unecessary to me. i got a small tree for the apartment as well. i wanted to get a normal full size douglas fir - but the idea of transporting it in the colbalt back to buffalo and moving the furniture etc. for it seemed more trouble then its worth. i ended up with something a little more charlie brownish. i will provide photos when i am home and it is decorated.
ps - don't leave (e:jason)

By the game I assume you mean the penguins vs. Sabres. You are so lucky. You may not have been the only one who got plowed. Just pretend you don't remember what happend as long as you didn't wind up doing one of your coworkers Don't worry about it. But more importantly who paid for the drinks. If it was the company or a salesmen you arn't to blame it is there fault.
I saw bob Saget do stand up and he was verry dirty I have no idea how he got full house (I used to watch it everyweek). On a side note You should see the guy who played Skippy from Family ties I have heard he is verry dirty also but funny as hell. That movie sounds more like a thinking comedy like I can apricate it, and understand it, not a ha ha funny type of movie I still do want to see it.
hot cider and rum? mmm.
The New York Times had a glowing review of that movie - which should have been enough for you to not watch it. Wow, a movie with a bunch of comedians telling their version of the alleged dirtiest joke in history. I love, LOVE dirty jokes and filthy talk but even I think the movie is just ridiculous. I hope the people who made it lost money.
Anyway, there are two real reasons why I am writing to you today.
1) Everybody thinks I am leaving the site, it is not true, I never said that - I said I am not journaling. I will continue my sniping role and comment on journals I think are interesting.
2) I was very mean to another (e:peep) today in my commentary. Don't get me wrong, I loved it and they deserved it, but I have to have some balance. So I will be very kind to you - don't worry about being drunk in front of coworkers. What's done is done, if they aren't complete morons they will know that isn't who you are 100% of the time. Don't be so hard on yourself!
Take it easy...
