I'm surprised it hasn't allready happenend to you. Knowing wich ones you can eat is a verry good idea. Also you may want to wear gloves just to be on the safe side. I heard this kid tell a story about going to pick shrooms (to get high not to eat) and he forgot gloves as wound up passing out in a field for 2 or 3 days. I don't really belive it but it still might be a good idea. That Yellow one looks really nice.
ladycroft - 07/07/06 10:15
so which ones ARE edible? just in case i'm stranded in a mushroom laden forest one day. don't laugh, you ALL know it could happen to me!
zobar - 07/07/06 08:12
'some are edible some are not.'

How can you tell the difference?

There is an old Latvian custom that, upon returning from mushroom picking, the oldest person in the household tries them first. The reason being: they're probably the next to go anyway.

Latvians have a weird sense of humor.

going to nyc tomorrow: Post #2
does anyone need anything? any requests? need me to drop off any suspect packages?

i may be hitting canal street, cuz i'm super duper broke and that's all that i can afford...oh and the free art museums. the MET we can do during the day...cuz that's always free and MOMA has free friday nights from 4-8pm. i'm super stoked about that...i've been hoping to go, since the remodeling, but could not afford the $20 admission.

i'll make sure to grab some vegetable dumplings at ollie's and head home at 10:00.

hodown - 07/07/06 09:20
The moma is free after 6pm on Fridays. Its sponsered by target. I would go, its amazing since its been re-done..
mrdt - 07/07/06 01:03
I know your broke so all I'll recommend is going to the Lincoln center at the evening time. They have free music and dancing every night.

(I also recommend, if you feel like splurging a little going, to see the riviting revival of Sweeney Todd the Demon Barber From Fleet St. This is playing at the Eugene O'Neill theater on West 49th St and 5th row tickets off stage left were $60 each including tax, fees and surcharge. Not to mention this musical is so you - dark, twisted and funny.)
imk2 - 07/06/06 22:49
yeah, we're going for the day. we have to go to the chinese consulate for our visa for our trip at the end of the month.
libertad - 07/06/06 22:23
Hey have fun! Are you just going for the day? I'm going on the 16th for the day. How cwazy!

"Contract of Wifely Expectations"
mmm...this sicko is just what i've been looking for. i've always wanted someone to tell me how much and how often i should shave, when i should be naked and what kinds of sex acts i should engage in.

this guy is a whacko who awards "Good Behavior Days" or "GBD" to his wife when she's been compliant.

ahhh....what a noble man.

theecarey - 07/07/06 05:00
oh yeh, I am all over that! Whats his number?

  • snickers*

..and what can I get with 17.5 GBD points?

Would someone please write him a counter contract? haha
imk2 - 07/06/06 21:32
oh yeah, it's totally hot...got my panites all wet...wait a minute...today's the day when panties are not allowed.... :)

my question is...who would actually go for this shit, i mean, how down-on-yourself do you have to be to even CONSIDER being with a man like that?
jenks - 07/06/06 20:46
oh c'mon.... it's hot...

;)
metalpeter - 07/06/06 20:18
I have only read the first page. But he seems like a tottal control freak. He should move to some country where women have no power then he wouldn't need the dam contract. Belive it or not that is more common then most people think it just isn't done in contract form.
ladycroft - 07/06/06 18:39
ha. haha. hahaha. hahahahaha. i'd just love to see some guy seriously hand me that document.

who was humping me last night?
ooh wee! did i have a good time last night!

seriously, i have not partied like that in a loooong time. glad pmt joined in the fun. thanks trj for the best party i've been to in years!

thanks terry for all the humping and booty punching. save the date for the first sat in august for the pool party at my house. all those that want to have the same kind of fun, need to let me know now, so i can get the supplies ready.

man, i'm kinda cracked out today. but much better than having a hangover.

oh yeah, who ever finds a picture of my nipple on their camera, DO NOT POST IT, the nipple wasnt hard enough.

ladycroft - 07/04/06 12:38
it's on my camera. don't know who took it, but i found it, haha. i had a greeeeeeeeeeat time! indeed, cheers to terry for the fondeling.
mrmike - 07/02/06 19:21
Right, "work with me, show me love" etc...down for an August hoopla
joshua - 07/02/06 17:35
Clearly a new picture must be taken, with the correct nipple hardness taken into consideration.

needles are not for junkies anymore
i went to ECMC today to get my travel shots for china. after shelling out $400 for both me and my daughter, i was poked three times; once for tetanus, once for hepatitis A, and once for typhoid.

luckily, my insurance will reimburse me for this expense. unfortunately my mother's will not.

i had an interview today with the New England Research Institutes for a field interviewer position. this position would require me o travel throughout new york state and interview 192 physicians for a racial/ethnic disparities in diabetes, study.

the interview went well, it seemed that i was doing most of the interviewing and it was probably the most informal interview i've had. they said they will definitely be in touch late next week or early following week (because of the holiday) for a second interview. i hope that they will offer me some serious money. i can't imagine that they would offer anything below 35K but i would like something closer to 45K. with my luck they'll be dishing out 25K.

i would like to tell all of you about our crazy weekend but i've left that up to (e:ladycroft) hopefully she'll post soon with pictoral evidence of our drunken stupidity and scary stalking behavior.

libertad - 07/07/06 00:40
That job sounds great. Good luck with the salary. I think I actually think mrdt has some sound advice here. It worked for me in my last endeavor. I'm so happy that you all get to travel!
des - 07/01/06 05:48
good luck on the new jobby job
mrdt - 06/30/06 02:08
what ever they do, don't except their first offer and try to negotiate...or atleast stall and see what they do. tell them you need a small amount of time to think about it because you have another job offer for a higher salary... but this opportunity fits your career goals better...

that shit always works.

9 out of 10 times they are low-balling you and expecting you to consider it to take the job.
metalpeter - 06/29/06 19:52
Well now you got me looking forward to Ladycrofts post, it allready sounds like you ladies had a great time, glad you did. I wish you luck on with the Job. I know money is important and the more a job pays the better. But Enjoying the job is also verry important, or at least not dreading it. Man do I hate shots and needles not sure if I could get 3 shots in a day. Well I guess if it meant I could go visit China I could, well maybe at least. I'm sure you will have a great time when you go.
mrmike - 06/29/06 16:25
Sending some good interview vibes your way....rooting for you!!
