finally got my hair did by (e:lilho). it's been over a year since i've gotten it cut, so yeah, it was scary. especially because i've had the same hair dresser since i was born.
moved back to school (RIT). good to be back i guess. it should be a good year. i had my first class today and it's probably the easiest math class i've ever taken in my life. i love that all i have left to take are a few electives then i'm DONE.
applying to grad school will be scary and hopefully i'll get in somewhere, but i'm kind of looking at it as an opportunity to start over. i think that's part of the reason i want to go to university of washington in seattle--it's completely disconnected from everything i know, i'd have a chance to start from scratch and put everything behind me.
anyway, tomorrow's my only full day. i have all my classes...i'm really excited to take women and the visual arts and wines of the world--it's been a while since i've really been able to fit in a class outside of my major. i do start doing the TA thing though on wednesday, i'm a little nervous about that, mostly because i'm not good at public speaking, but that's ok. i met the guy i'm TA'ing for today. he's really really nice, but very stereotypically mathematician like--we went from talking about life and our family backgrounds to him asking me "what do you think is the most influential theorem in mathematics of all time?" and seeing that i'm not good at being put on the spot, i'm sure i sounded like a complete moron.
ok, time to have an amaretto sour to celebrate that it's the first time in college that i didn't have homework on the first day of the quarter!
