FYI: Parking Violations

I forgot to move my car across the street yesterday so I got two tickets. I thought they had to be 24 hours apart so I emailed the Parking Violations Bureau with:

I recently received two parking tickets because I forgot to move my car to
the other side of the street on the given day. I am not disputing that I
deserve one ticket. However, I was under the impression that a person could
not receive more than one parking ticket within a 24 hour period of time.
Is this correct or have I been misinformed? If it is correct, what should I
do with my second ticket?

The truth is:

[c]The tickets are valid as long as they are 61 minutes apart. The officers can tag you at the same location for the same violation as long as they are an hour apart. If they see multiple violations, they will also tag you for each violation they see. If you want to request a hearing on the tickets, mail them in immediately to plead not guilty. We will then send you an appointment slip for the judge. If they are within an hour of each other, you can send both tickets in, but send payment for the earlier ticket. Send them both in the same envelope.[/c]

new neighbors

This morning while I was looking out my bathroom window I discovered I have some new neighbors. The mommy likes to sit on or in the circle pipe, and the daddy likes to sit next to her or on the window sill. I hope they are safe in those pipes. I also hope the babies are born before I move out.

I understand what (e:paul) and (e:ajay) are saying and we HAVE put a block on it. What makes me mad is that I have no job and am living on my college loans trying to pay for my internet service, and someone else is using it for free, who is 45-years-old and has a job. I'm not about to knock on someone's door that I don't know and say, "Oh, by the way, you've been using my internet sertvice for the last year and you owe me $250." And regarding the police, I'm pretty sure they have enough man-power to take a 5 minute phone call and answer a question for us, which is all that we needed.

Climax and internet theft

Climax, NY:

We found out today that someone in our building has been using our internet service through our wireless router. That makes me mad. We called Adelphia, who told us to call the police, who told us to call the FBI, who told us to file a complaint online, who called us back and said there is nothing they can do. So, we are logging their activity (yes, we know how to block them, but we just want to make sure we have proof) and I called our landlord and I will ask him what to do probably tomorrow. I want to go knock on his door, cuz this guy was dumb enough to set up his connection with his whole name, so we know which apartment he lives in, but I think we will wait. Why are people sleazebags and why do I always find them?
