channel 2 news

I just saw the news story about the demonstration today.
Why can't Pano take 5 minutes to talk to the news crews? I really feel like he should defend himself in some way.
The news tried to show both sides of the story. However, there were 4 or 5 people in protest to the parking lot, and only one person in support of it. I don't know if the news channel really opposes the deomlition, or if there realyl just aren't that many people who want the house knocked down.

I tape the clip, but I don't know if I have the knowledge or the capabilities to put it up on here.

are they really?

[inlink]dan,12[/inlink]
(e:dan) , I'm not saying you're wrong, I'm just not sure that I necessarily agree with you. I really feel that more people are reached by an online petition than would be reached if, say, 10 of us walked around the city knocking on doors. We would come across many people that aren't home, or are busy and don't want to be bothered, or are afraid to open the door because they think we are selling something, or are just plain afraid to open the door because we are strangers. Plus, people like myself would never even hear about it, because I live in one of those "secure" apartment buildings, where you wouldn't even be able to get in to knock on my door at all. By having the petition online, people can circulate it to people they know at work and at school. Also, maybe that way it will get passed on to people who live in the city, but might be out of town for some reason...or people that don't live right in the city but are frequent patrons of the restaurant.
