Broken screen
Category: computer
Tonight I accidentally left my computer on the floor while I cooked a stir fry for dinner, and (e:terry) also accidentally stepped on it. :( The patterns in the cracked panel make for some kind of crazy artwork.

I was going to program, but now I feel so thrown off. Is it weird that I empathize with an old Dell?

At least the new LCD panel is only $70, and should be here by Saturday. An old low res external monitor works until then. Still sucks.

Doubletree Cafe
Category: food
(e:paul) and I met up with (e:terry) for lunch at the cafe inside the Doubletree hotel. It's right next door to the building we work in.

The waitress was super nice. I got a hummus wrap, and lentil soup. The wrap was good, the soup was alright. Paul and I split an order of mozzarella sticks that were terribly amazing.

Strange wallpaper - it was covered in letters and just said "words" and"letters".

Wow - our paths must have crossed then and we never knew! :)
Robert - 11/18/14 23:12
(e:tinypliny) I was there from 2009 to 2011. I typically worked nights but i also worked lunch sometimes. they were very different so i may not have been pleasant during the lunch shift.
tinypliny - 11/18/14 00:37
Really, were you there from 2007-2011?
Robert - 11/18/14 00:19
I used to work there!
tinypliny - 11/13/14 23:09
I used to like that cafe A LOT. Compared with the RPCI cafe its waaaay better. But it blew a hole into my budget so I didn't go there too often. The BGH cafe is also better than the RPCI cafe. Hell, all cafes are better than the RPCI cafe.

Trinity Tower lights
Category: linwood

Trinity Towers installed new lights on their buildings when they were doing work last month. They're so bright, even without the porch light its almost day outside. I wonder if this is against code. I want to contact them about it, and if they don't respond I'll ask the city.

Maybe the seniors feel safer with bright lights. Personally, being a small person, lights always made a difference in walking at night. There was a section on Summer which was always dark and that was where I was nearly mugged once.

That is so obnoxious. I would think that there would be restrictions on that, especially on your street.

Another graveyard ride
Category: bikes
(e:yesthatcasey), (e:paul), (e:steve) and I took advantage of the warm day to ride around the cemetery. There was a lot of picture taking and meta-picture taken of that picture taking.

Afterwards we rode up through the park, through North Buffalo to walk Midnight. I don't think he expected to see four people there for him.

Allen Street Consulting, part II
Category: allenst
Today (e:paul) and I went with (e:terry) to move the new server, and check out (e:allenstreet)'s new digs. The space is freaking awesome if you ask me.

The server is all set up now in it's new case. Super fast and in a much cleaner environment than the basement. It might even cannibalize some of its other server brothers and virtualize them.

From the back hall, Paul and I noticed a tiny house (or connecting building?) between the two houses across from Founding Fathers. Never noticed from the ground.
