Emily's birthday at HardwareCategory: birthday
We went to Hardware for Emily's birthday. Carrie and I tried to get them to play Taylor Swift but failed. Still danced our tailes off though.
We got to eat with our new bike friends (e:terry) and I made the week before.

Gutters on the garageCategory: house
Despite the new roof on the garage, water was still coming in through the base of the garage. I think it's because the yard is all sloped towards the back of it, where the water runs off.
So (e:paul) and I went to the hardware store got an aluminum gutter, and installed it, all in a few hours. The hardware store was the worst part of it. We ran the hose on top of the garage for a bit and it worked perfectly.
Right now all we have to do is get a water barrel, since there's no good spot to drain in the backyard. I think we can get one from Riverkeeper.

Hunters CreekCategory: hiking
The hike down at Hunter's Creek was awesome and a perfectly warm fall day.
We saw the craziest dead tree that was bored by some bug - not an emerald ash though.
On the way home, we stopped at a fancy Ethiopian restaurant in East Aurora. It was way too expensive for what the food was - and not spicy enough. I'd rather go to Lucy's or Gartur's even if they aren't as polished.
Fall color mode. The mountain bike club was clearing the trails that day
My favorite part of exposed shale beds like this is the laser straight lines the fractures in them make. Engineer's dream I guess.
Woof! Someone's got a bone
