I cannot believe I have a 7am meeting where I meet the CEO for the first time. Why 7am? Who knew 6am was dark.

Tunneling Apple Remote Desktop through Linux Server via sshCategory: apple
You obviously could just connect the mac computers together via ssh if they were reachable from each other. In this case they are not and there is a linux comp in between. between the client mac and the target mac. Tunneling screen sharing over ssh also makes it secure.
From your terminal on the mac you will be connecting from. I was missing this part before and therefore it was not working.
From client mac connect to linux server and map your port 6900 to its 5900. Really you could use any ports you want just make sure that you use them in the next command too.
ssh -p 22 -L 6900:127.0.0.1:5900 user@linuxserver
From linux server connect to target mac that you want to view mapping its port 5900 to the mac port 5900. The first port is whatever the second port was above. The last 5900 needs to be that as the mac runs its dekstop screen sharing over port 5900.
From there mac you want to view the other mac on, open the finder's menu and select go - connect to server.
enter address as your localhost and whatever port you chose as the first one in the first ssh command
hit connect
login with the account for the targetmac
from view menu select the display you want to view. From there you should see and be able to control the target mac.

OS X MavericksCategory: apple
Got it. Its cool that it free not sure why I needed it but I got it now.
The 3d maps are pretty cool except for my neighbors house which is some sort of weird tree castle.

I somehow feel like they are giving it away free for some subversive guinea pig bug testing on suckers.

That looks like a video game. I don't remember their house being that impressive... is it really?! Did they bring in extra trees from somewhere like that one bloke on pearl who brought in plastic flowers overnight just before the garden walk?

Shower Pan and Threshold ContinuedCategory: bathroom
Its starting to be a joke. At least it feels that way. I can't believe someone thought the way the threshold was made would be acceptable. I actually feel insulted that they thought we wouldn't notice or care.
The drop is even more obvious now with the threshold in place.
You can see how far the left side (right side of picture as its taken from inside the shower)
Here is the right side which is good an normal height like the other two corners.
Here is the fucked up one. Look at the difference in height.
Just look how much shit they had to shove in there to try and cover up the drop that will definitely cause water to pool there.
They tried to use a 1/2 caulk to make this work. Well caulk and some wood and a piece of cement board. It looks insane. Instead of having concrete on stone flush like the other side there is all this other material that will surely degrade at different rates and separate causing space for mold to get trapped etc.
The threshold even overhangs by 1/2 inch on both sides which is a major tripping hazard. This is especially frustrating because the guy specifically told me to buy 6inch wide threshold which was extra cost and now not only looks like shit but is a major tripping hazzard. I would have just bought 5inch if he had told me to.
Even the ceiling fan is crooked. Its like these people have never seen a right angle before.
