I want to see this propertyCategory: houses
Check out this 5 bd, 3.0 ba, 1,070 sqft home at 429 Rhode Island St that I found on Zillow:
I wonder what the retail space has been used for?
libertad - 04/20/13 19:07
I wouldn't really go see it unless they have an open house. I'd feel bad to go look at it even though I know I am not seriously going to buy for another year. It seems like if the commercial part was rentable it would be way better than having someone live beneath you.

Oh definitely, plus if you owned it you could always combine two rooms. I would go with you if you want someone to tag along.

I really have no perception of square footage yet so I have no idea. It's probably super awkward but I'm curious about it and wondering how awesome roof top patio might be?

How do 5bd and 3 bathrooms fit into 1070 sq ft.

good bye lackawana steelCategory:
sad for me to see it go. It would be awesome if they left the facade up. Always liked to stop here on way to lackawana. thankfully wind was blowing away from me and not blowing asbestos all over me.
paul - 04/18/13 22:18
Ya they should have saved the facade.

it just seems wrongCategory:
to eat a crucifix.

I agree with Paul.. The waffer is "The body Of Christ" but see that is just a cross... Now if he was on it then it is a Cruisifix and that has part of the lord in him.... And sorry don't remember who has it and when but the same is the with "The Communial Wine" ... But I get why it does seem wrong....

I think it sounds so right. Remember, they eat him every weekend.

the cottage through the yearsCategory:
so this post should include my baby pictures here at our cottage but I can't find them right now so that will be a separate entry. These are not in order and not great quality as they are pictures of pictures from my Grammy's albums.
We all have a lifetime of memories of this place. I know there will be someday that i won't be able to go back to my grandparents house and that will be hard too. The pictures just speak for themselves.
libertad - 03/25/13 19:07
It was a magical place and I'm happy to have the memories, fortunate to have the memories, even if they sometimes make me sad. We always moved around so never had a solid place besides the cottage, there is my Grandparents but I always knew that one day my grandparents would be gone and we wouldn't have that anymore, we just assumed the cottage would stay cause it had survived the big flood of 72 and a tornado in the 90s.

That looks like a magical place. You'll always have your memories of that place.
I feel the same way about the house I grew up in. I still dream about it. It's weird to not be able to go walk in it.

I rode by on my bike today and it was already sold! You weren't kidding janelle. BIt looked really nice on the outside. Wonder how much it sold for?
Drew and I moved to the West Side from EV two years ago and couldn't be happier with our decision. It is really great to be in between Elmwood and Grant - although we are much closer to Grant.
I think a year from now, if you're patient, you'll find something great. I will warn you that good properties do move fast so you can't wait once you see a good one hit the listings.
Good luck!
this one is pretty cute :) i see the merits in both. this one looks more traditional, while the other one has that commercial space below...
i imagine you'll have different or better options next year.
