I'm pretty sure I'm the least competitive person in the entire broad gaming circle. I'm mostly interested in making pretty pictures and maybe drinking some beer. However, D is highly competitive and she decided she wanted to place a bet on the outcome of a Qwirkle game. Tsk tsk. I employed several key (e:YesThatCasey) tactics to achieve my goal.
I was brushing my teeth last night and realized there were more toothbrushes and toothpastes than usual. She's had a toothbrush and toothpaste at my house since December... but now needs duplicates? Too cute. We had stopped seeing each other for a bit and I think she might have worried that I threw them out.
Big Flats is a town between Corning and Elmira, NY, about an hour from home. It's home to the Arnot Mall and the Elmira-Corning Regional Airport. I find it highly amusing that Walgreens sells a beer named for it.

Fun with lawyer ethicsCategory: work
(emphasis added)QUESTION
May a professional card of a lawyer be blue on blue, and may it
incorporate on its face an emblem such as the scales of justice?
OPINION
It is improper for the professional card or letterhead of a lawyer to
contain a distinctive monogram. N.Y. County 591 (1971); Wise, Legal
Ethics 145 (2d ed. 1970); DR 2-102(A) (1) and (4).
A lawyer's use of letterheads, professional cards and announcement
cards should conform to normal, modest sized lettering giving the
conventional information only, such as the name of the individual or
firm, the address, the telephone, and the cable code, if any. Wise,
Legal Ethics 169 (2d ed. 1970).
To permit embellishment of the usual simple professional card would
undoubtedly lead to the use of competitive symbols and the dignity of
the profession would be seriously compromised. The use of blue lettering
on blue stock rather than being conventional, customary and usual is
flamboyant and not dignified.
oooh, can't wait to see the new logo!
I fixed the quote textbling parsing. It broke during a fix for something jyoti was working on.
Your idea of "fun" is questionable.

a month!Category: home
When I got to the bar, there were five people - Bartender Sarah, her mom Brenda, the cook Alyssa, Paulie and me. Then my & A's friend Dave stopped in with two of his friends, one of whom is also a lawyer in the county. Keep in mind that there are only 76 lawyers in the county... including the dead and disbarred, and now there are two in a group of eight people at the only public bar in my town. Dave and I chat a while... once I explained the difference between terrorists and pirates while we were packing up at the end of the annual bluegrass party. He plays cello and is a drummer. S, the lawyer, had once been suspended from practice for some rather loose and illegal dealings in marijuana...the disciplinary file is hilarious. He offered me a job tonight, he asked if I'd be interested in doing the divorce work in his office. No thanks! Sarah laughed at his suggestion, she knows I couldn't possibly be mean enough.
Walking home from the bar tonight.
Puppy prints :-)
Billy the postmaster changes the date in the postmark stamp with a pair of tweezers.
Chocolate covered double stuf Oreos. Yum!!
My hands aren't nearly big enough for the Note. ;-)
View from my client's front porch yesterday.
York Holo is the brewpub in Mansfield. Their beer is touch bland but they make a wicked pizza on Monday nights and the bartender is excellent.
Who knew (re: interesting postmaster chores!)
Well at least it is only a 6 pack in hand and not 4 of them in that little cardboard thing then........
No, Big Flats is terrible bargain basement beer.
Not a beer fan but how does it taste... You might also like to know 7-Eleven came out with their own beer and heard it was really bad.. Hope big flats is good..

I stupidly didn't photograph the board :-( I had constructed two really nice gap spots preventing double qwirkles.
I wanna see the end result of the board! :o)
Yes D = Dianne ;-)
Hmmm... D. Picture please? pretty please??? :-)
