It was so dangerously crowded we couldn't even get over the bridge. The police dude on the segway had such hot calves.

Jabe Pond 2012 Category: camping
It was such an amazing, peaceful time full of swimming, grilling and running around naked in the forest like a bunch of monkeys wrestling trees to the ground for fuel. I wish I could have stayed another week so bad. Maybe next time. Someone posted a great video of the road up to jabe
We had one really rainy storm that was borderline terrifying but it was beautiful most of the week.
The water was so crystal clear and amazing. It was the perfect combo of warm when it was cloudy and cool and cold when it was too warm in the sun.
Can you eat the clams from the adirondack lakes? I have never seen this kind in stores before. Many of the shells were pitted, I think it may be caused by acid rain. UPDATE: they are mussels are they are an endangered species. Here is an insteresting story of their past ::READ PDF:: Here ia another interesting PDF with all of the rare NYS animals as of 2007 ::READ PDF::
Its tamer than other years but you can almost see my junk in this one. Just stop here if you are afraid....

Last night of a week long camping trip. It was a long journey home. Luckily part of it involved dinosaur BBQ. I already miss swimming.

Teen Wolf Category: television
I am such a sucker for these kind of shows and now that Secret Circle is on break I needed my fix of teen magic drama. That plus I always wished I was a werewolf.
Strangely, the up to this point non-magical one on the left is my favorite.
paul - 08/15/12 08:20 A whole blog dedicated to the cast of that show :::link:::
paul - 08/12/12 15:32 No TV, I was just going through some pics before I went out of network.
tinypliny - 08/08/12 15:03 Hmm... I thought you weren't a fan of the sickly you know who.
And you are watching TV while you are camping? Doesn't that kind of defeat the purpose of the whole exercise?

Fillmore - New York State Park Category: hiking
We camped at Fillmore for the second night of the trip on the way out to the adirondacks. It was really green and lush in the forest there. There were so many amazing bridges and stone walkways. It even had a dammed in swimming area.
While hiking I found the same berries I also ate while hiking in Portland. What are they? They are similar to raspberries but flat and have different leaves.
The pictures are so "Huckleberry Finn"!!
