We bought a lovely whiteboard several weeks ago
(e:heidi,56015) but haven't been able to hang it. We're using it uncomfortably now, as
(e:Terry) demonstrates. We need a board to hang it with - the one that came with it is a little fragile and a little short to do the job effectively.
We need a piece of 1/2" plywood that is 5' 6" long, 6" wide and has a 45 degree angle on one of the long edges. The whiteboard case weighs about 150 lbs. We have a drill, appropriate drill bits, bolts, and muscle for lifting. Can anyone help?
Shot of ineffective board.
A while back we made a headboard from scratch. We used something called a Z Hanger. You attach one to the wall and the other to the back of what you are hanging and they sit flush to the wall. The headboard is not that heavy but it will support a lot of weight.

I think I have leftover plywood in my garage from roofing. You are welcome to it, as well as use of my saw to make it the right size.
Hmm.. nearly 75 kilos. That's like a huge plasma telly. I think you might do much better with a wall mount for a 60+in plasma than a plywood board. They are solid metal and have hinges and joints for effective anchoring. Think about it!
