I didn't love it like the met but it was interesting. Part of it was that we went when it was free and a madhouse.
I had seen many of the peices before which also made it not as exciting and I'm not a huge fan of paintings in general.
I definately prefer design amd art with more of a physical purpose. Say architecture, furniture, clothing etc. That beind said I really liked the picture if the men fighting.

Fruit RetrospectiveCategory: food
At thr met they had this wax fruit centerpeice from the 1800s. It was so interesting to see the fruit was anything but perfect. With my experience from the pear tree, I can tell you that bruised, super ripe, juicy fruit tastes the best. But imagine if this was made now. People would instead think it was disgusting. In fact, I bet most people would through fruit that looked like that out. According to the placard, the fruit was all actually cast from real fruit.

Times SquareCategory: nyc
Last night we went to times square. I cannot believe how big some of the video screens are. I didn't even know they made high def video screens at that size.
There were so many people. The giant QA codes were cool because you could scan them from blocks away. At least with my phone you could.
Strangely the giant ads were for godaddy. For such a huge tourist attraction you would think a company that provides a service that applies to more general or consumer needs would have wanted that space.
Who goes to the square and decides they need a domain or some server space? I mean even I didn't.

Actually, the last time I was at time square, I wanted to start a website and was thinking about a personal family server. A couple others near me also wanted similar things. I know because they were talking aloud about how they would love to have their own fooddotcom.

Delicious Bone MarrowCategory: food
(e:hodown) and I went to Quality Meats in manhattan last night. The food was so amazing. Sadly I only took one pic of two food items - mint and butter edamame and beef bone marrow. We also had a giant bouquet of sea food with lobster, shrimp, crab, oysters and raw clams. It was a fantastic beginning to the trip.
Funny story. At the airport I had to pee and was running to the baggage area. Then my phone buzzed and I started paying attention to my phone and ended up in the middle of a bathroom. When I finally looked up because I didn't see the urinals I realized I was like 30 feet into a crowded women's room and all of the women were staring at me. I ran out fast.

those strawberries look like those miniature things you have in your backyard!
yes, but you forget the organic brigade who would probably drool all over this because of the ugly=organic fashionable connotation. It was probably all organic back then.
