Artichocke Francaise at Scarlet on Allen

The other night we tried to go to Mother's for a late night dinner. It was closed so we went over to Scarlet across the street. The artichoke francaise may be the best appetizer I ever had there. It was battered and pan fried large artichoke heart based with a caper sauce. I feel bad the picture is so high contrast and that I ate some before I snapped the pic. It looked really well presented before I dug in.

The imodela 3D home mill

I want this 3d home mill so bad. I think having one could get me to love 3d modeling again. The thing thar got me disinterested was the output format being always video or images. To be able to bring the creations to live would make the art much more fun. Imagine how awesome a slightly larger and sturdier one if these could be for home restoration projects.

Interesting. I thought the challenge of 3D modeling was using 2D space to convey it.

Canadaway Creek Leantos

After 17 years I found the book with the directions and we hiked out. Should make for some nice camping later in the season.

I don't remember there being a bathroom before. I also thought there was more brush/tree between the leantos and the water. Maybe its just tall grass that has been cut down.

There were so many old carvings on the leanto walls. I can't believe we didn't make any.

OMG OMG OMG!!! My favorite camping place on the face of the earth. AMAZING! We are so going this summer. I have so many amazing memories of that place. Is the well pump for water still there?

Macs Suck 10.7.3 Nightmare

we upgraded to the new os 10.7.3 and it totally fucked up the computer. Now when it connects to the tv it breaks down in graphic artifacts. I even installed the combo update over the top and its still fucked. From what I read a lot of people had trouble. So much for it just works. At least it works if the internal screen is closed or the external monitor is disconnected but not if both are on. I tried resetting the PRAM.

Ugh. No OS is perfect. So aggravating, in general. Btw, after a recent update of F16 the some vicious freezes have come back in my now-ATI laptop. ATI and F16 just don't play well each other.

The weather outside is crazy

There is no more snow and it was so warm this morning. This carthome has been abandoned for a few days now. I wonder what happend to the owner.

Sometimes we do get mild Winters and some years Brutal Winters..... When I was a kid I heard that some day Buffalo would be like 70 during the winter cause there is a hole in the ozone layer so......

I'm not a climate Scientist.... But what a someone I knew and this was years ago said that over 1,000s of years the poles reverse.... Now thinking back to earth science there was what they called the true north pole meaning polarity not the name of the country....

My theory is that yes global warming is a bad term is real... Yes all the stuff we pump into the air effects it... But I also think that no one can really know all the effects.... But my idea is that the seasons as we call them are moving...

Some day Buffalo might be on the ocean and Japan will be underwater or maybe as the ice caps melt it will be green land that vanishes ......
