Final tallyCategory: school
Three empty waterman pen refills for 58 handwritten pages of notes.
I couldn't find replacement nibs for it that (e:tinypliny) suggested are fun to trade. I'd love a fine point. The medium point is quite broad and doesn't give the nice thick-thin strokes that I like. I might not have been as picky about fine point pens when I bought it about 12 years ago. I still like the purple ink :-)

Love the Waterman. They sponsored a book signing I had to oversee 1000 years ago. Author didn't want the pens, I've been hooked ever since

Try the Indian store? (I am not sure if they have them though, I will ask when I go there next... maybe this coming weekend).

Fountain pen refillsCategory: school
I broke out my waterman fountain pen to work on studying for my local government law final tomorrow. I'm on my third refill.

This one looks much more modern than what mine used to be. You could swap out the nibs to fancier ones with engravings etc and as kids, we swapped nibs like you would swap stamps or coins...

I have fountain pens where you can just refill from a traditional ink pot. I love writing with fountain pens - they are so old school and force a good handwriting! My teachers used to insist on fountain pens when I first started writing cursive back in elementary school. The make you write slowly otherwise you break the nib.

Ink is like the batteries of pens accept that you can buy batteries everywhere. To bad you can't plug it in.
I saw at Best Buy that they have digital pens now where you write on reusable paper and it saves to PDF. I have a hard time imagining it working well but it sounds neat.

Excellent summary videoCategory: home
... of issues with natural gas drilling. It was shot mostly in Bradford County, Pa., the county east of Tioga and does a nice job of capturing how beautiful it is there. 14 minutes.
Oh, and the guy who sold his natural gas drilling company, East Resources to Shell for $4.7B wants to buy the Sabres, after he gave Penn State $88M to build an arena for their to-be-developed Div.I hockey team. East/Shell owns most of the gas rights in Tioga County.

That area of PA is indeed beautiful.
That area of PA is indeed beautiful.
Little bit on the cold side today nice shot of spot and the trees across the street...
Count me in the I-couldn't-feel-my-nose group today. I couldn't feel my finger and toes as a bonus.
It is so freaking cold. Walking home down main street I totally froze my face off.
