Duck and cover?
Category: work
Nope, it's not a nuclear attack duck and cover. It's a study that
needs a presentation and an overly dedicated (e:imk2). I left my
headphones in her car the other day, when I stopped by she demoed her
office camping gear for me. She tried to convince me it is cozy under
there. It looks way cosier than my nasty cube. Her work space is
like 1000x better than mine. Someday, I hope I can have an office,
let alone a window.

tinypliny - 10/02/08 22:22
ha. I went imk2-visiting after I saw this journal on my google reader along with some other random bits of breast cancer snippets. Talk about the information highway leading to corridor visits. LOL
tinypliny - 10/02/08 22:16
HEY!!! how come you didn't visit me??? I live (er. work) two offices down!

Things that make me happy
Category: food
Top of that list is crab legs, yum!

tinypliny - 10/02/08 21:25
It looks like its all bone or whatever ossification crabs possess. How much edible "meat" do you actually get out of a leg like that?
paul - 10/02/08 18:25
It's back, sorry ;(
tinypliny - 10/02/08 17:53
Your photo isn't showing up.

Terminals
Category: computers
I know that terminals have tabs now in leopard but most of the time I am watching log files as they fill up and need to compare so I just keep making separate windows. Plus with tabs you have to keep flipping through em. Its like looking at 15 different papers on you desk and putting 14 of them back in a manilla folder everytime you switch papers.

Mac OS makes this so easy to switch between open windows/application using expose. With a key press it or mouse gesture it basically takes all the windows you have stacked up everywhere and makes them tiny so you an select the one you want to focus on. I like this better than any ther solution.

Anyways, this morning I so many terminal windows open it was crazy.

That many windows/terminals would drive me nuts!

Having fun in the sun
Category: summer
These are the crazy kind of friends I want to have. I feel like this year we barely got to have sunny, crazy drunk days by water. Everything is entirely too serious.

Or maybe I am just too old to be spontaneous. Everything seems very planned and organized now.

tinypliny - 10/01/08 18:56
Haha... I don't miss my crazy days. I got into plenty of trouble all the time and its kind of a relief that I am not getting hauled into some disciplinary office or the other all the time.
boxerboi - 10/01/08 12:50
I'm with you on that. I don't know that last time I did something spontaneous.

(that's definitely not snow. haha)
james - 10/01/08 08:26
Paul, you have shown me a vision of a perfect future.
gardenmama - 09/30/08 23:39
Not bad!

Spring Rolls

Is there anything better than a crunchy spring roll from Saigon
Bangkok on Niagara Falls blvd?
image
imk2 - 10/02/08 10:35
yes, the Vietnamese pancake
tinypliny - 10/01/08 18:58
There certainly is. It is the crunchy and crispy lentil-vegetable samosa at Bikaner-Wallahs in Rajouri Garden in New Delhi.
joshua - 10/01/08 09:13
IMO anyway, that is the best spring roll in Buffalo, period.
jason - 09/30/08 21:41
I love those!
