so i run out the door this morning without my lunch. I am on my lunch now, and decide between the limited choice of food venues- I opt for Burger King and order a veggie burger. They ask if I want bacon on it. haha! I say, sure, load it up! j.k.

Bon dieu!Category: cats and bugs
I come home from a full day at work to settle down to an evening of school work and paper writing, when I see my fuzzy guy pacing through the living room, anxious and flustered looking.
As with prior situations, (e:theecarey,149) I have learned to investigate when Joey is displaying warrior-like behavior. Although he appears to be pacing, Joey is actually sizing up the situation, trying to figure out a way to get to the window. An airconditioner hinders his efforts.
So I think to myself, "Bon dieu, what is in the window, Joe?"
And then I look.
The Domesticated Warrior himself..
Creatures unearthed by the torrential downpours today?
I find myself face to face with this attached to the outside (phew!) of the living room window..something big and green and leggy:
and a fully unwelcome visitor.. knocking on my window, peering in..grossing me out, making me want to pack my bags and leave-- until I realize it is on the outside and I conclude that I am better off staying put.. 'cause its out *there*.. eek!
(why oh why terrorize me like this? *shiver*)
I really think that if Joey had the opportunity, he would have successfully tackled these bugs. I have seen an increase in his bug-slaying prowress this season. Thats ma boy.
Did you know that moth guts are powdery?

I think it's like the tail-chasing thing. They know the cat in the glass is really them, just like they know that their tail has a permanent death-grip on their butt. They are just letting you think they're stupid so you'll let your guard down.

Need a paddle?Category: potpourri
heh, maybe it was the huge full moon..
maybe the stars are realigning themselves..
maybe it is something in the air, water, koolaid, blue cheese..
maybe it isn't anything other than a temporary funk that the peeps are in.. Would that be an (e:funk)?
anyway, if you happen to find yourself in Shits Creek.. worry not, you can now buy yourself a paddle:
"To love what you do and feel that it matters - how could anything be more fun?"
- K. Graham
Stumbled across this Og guy earlier..
"If I feel depressed I will sing.
If I feel sad I will laugh.
If I feel ill I will double my labour.
If I feel fear I will plunge ahead.
If I feel inferior I will wear new garments.
If I feel uncertain I will raise my voice.
If I feel poverty I will think of wealth to come.
If I feel incompetent I will think of past success.
If I feel insignificant I will remember my goals.
Today I will be the master of my emotions."
Og Mandino- "The Greatest Salesman in the World"
I might be able to swing a couple of those. I like the part about remembering goals and plunging ahead. It can be difficult when you know you are the only one holding yourself back..

Gettin' moonedCategory: nature
Oh wow.. the full moon is so bright tonight!
From my living room window it appears to be a spot light out there.
Must go look outside!
I took a few pictures with my phone. Lets see how they turn out.
ok, so they look like white bright dots... but you can kinda see the trees and the moon..
oh yeh, it was only yesterday, but I forgot that I took a few pictures while at Deleware park. What a lovely night :)
Saving the best for last.. (e:leetee) brought cutie pie, Ava, and her human, Kierstin (sp). I snagged a pic of the cute pugs mug.

back to work- back to bedCategory: sleep
First day back to work after a relatively long break. bah.
I am beat and feeling the weight of the world upon me.
I know it is temporary and I will be bouncing again after I am back to "normal" on a more semi-regulated sleep schedule. As is, I had to wake up this morning at the very time that I have been going to bed pretty much throughout the entire break.
see why I am beat and fizzled out like flat pop?
I tossed and turned all night. And the thunder/lightening didn't help. On a positive note, what dreams I did have were freakin' fabulous.
Even with liittle sleep, I woke up super bouncy and happy. And I was super bouncy and happy all day at work..the kiddos are so cool..and I adore my coworkers-- it wasnt until the drive home that it all caught up with me. Which brings me here, with eyelids propped open with toothpicks...
yeh, so the thought of doing anything that i would like to do/need to do seems awfully heavy on my mind.
Maybe I'll try a short nap afterall- so I can feel more like my energetic, tackle the world, cheerful self. :)

hehe, (e:leetee) you read my mind! As I read (e:uncutsaniflush) comment about Licks, I recalled that you had mentioned it in one of your prior entries. I love a good veggie burger. I must go there :)
I agree with uncut, soy/veggies or pure beef is best; but I usually opt for a good veggie burger-- my tummy handles it better.
Licks :::link::: rocks! Best veggie burger i have ever had.
In Ontario, there is a small chain called Licks that has vegetarian "Nature" burgers. I love a Nature burger with back bacon. It's yummy. On the other hand, I think that there "Home" not-so-vegetarian burgers are less than yummy. I'm not a fan of seasoned hamburger meat with filler. Soy and veggies are good and pure beef is good, imo. I don't want a mixture of filler and meat. One or the other, that's what I say.
The greatest thing about Nick Tahou's in Rochester is that their 'veggie plate' comes with meat sauce unless you specifically ask them to leave it off. This causes fewer problems than you might think.
